We booked a 6 night stay and they apparently had no record of our booking even after we received two confirmation messages and a text from Booking.com. Nobody at reception and was told we'd have to wait 2 hours for someone to be there or pay cash to a cleaner because they don't know how to use the eftpos machine. We found somewhere else. Bad management.

Mr. Barkly, please update your pictures to the current state of affairs or your alleged hotel. I'm sorry to say it was rather disappointing. From the springs nearly poking out of the mattress to the questionable state of the cutlery, I can't say I would stay here again, Mr. Barkly. Also, from a quick perusal of wifi hotspots, I learned that room number 34 is giving out free lube, as that is the name of their wifi. You might want to look into that situation Mr Barkly. My boyfriend said this place was as much as the fancy hotels downtown but he wanted us to experience the eclectic St. Kilda's neighborhood. I don't understand Mr. Barkly, why do you charge as much as the fancy hotels when your hotel is in such a state? Please give it to your utmost attention. Warm regards, John and Shannon

Great Experience! Me and my family love this place! Perfect location, convenience to everything we need. Bars and restaurants just few minutes away. The hotel is clean and peaceful, the room is spacious and fully equipped. We will definitely come back again!
Today is our 3rd night here then moving on with our trip. Location is amazing - right next to everything. Apartment is clean and functional and bed is comfortable with bed made / fresh towels daily. Plenty of storage if you need to unpack . Short of kitchen bits - only one teaspoon / wine glass etc . White goods functional but look very old Bit of decorating needed generally. It's basic but ok - not luxury living ,- but not luxury price- I wouldnt give it 4 stars.
Stayed here many times in recent years but not again. Gone too feral and rough. Managers keep changing. Don't feel safe here anymore.
