An excellent wharf to tie up to if stopping short-term. Call local Volunteer Marine Rescue on VHF 16 for local advice on crossing the St Helens barway as they now have a camera to view what the barway is doing. Once red to the wharf You will need to speak the the MAST harbour master while on the wharf!! Not a floating wharf so boats rise and fall against the wharf so fender placement is vital. The wharf has water taps and 15a electricity for use, very small cost BUT see harbour master first. The tide rise and fall is only a metre so not too drastic. Very close a few minutes walking distance to town. So easy walking distance to shops and business. Showers in opposite car park are nice and hot, with a 2 coin required ( NOT 2x 1but a 2 coin ) public toilets located at shower block, men's toilet is untidy but that's us men for you, my partner says women's is clean and tidy.
Always lovely to visit here
Very nice place to have lunch and go for a walk
Best fish ever yummy
Nice open space. Good for picnics. No dogs. Not even on lead. In fact dogs not allowed the whole area. Lots of traffic, skateboard park but little else for children.
Some good food and drinks options nearby. Great place to view seabirds and the sunset.
Great views and pretty place
