Joachim is a fantastic drum teacher - I really can’t recommend him highly enough. My son has been learning drums with him for a term now and absolutely loves his lessons. When he first started, my son was keen to start playing songs immediately despite having no musical experience. I was worried that he might lose interest if he found that he couldn’t do that, but I was so impressed (and my son was delighted!) that Joachim had him learning songs from the very first lesson, while also teaching him some theory and practical exercises at the same time. Joachim is clearly a very talented and experienced drummer himself as well as being a patient and understanding teacher. If you’re looking for an excellent drum teacher who ‘gets’ why you or your child want to learn drums and is able to individualise his lessons to match your needs, I highly recommend Joachim.

Big thank you to Joachim for his unfailing patience and humour while teaching my 8 year old son. Leo can’t wait to go to drum lessons every week. I’m so impressed how he’s coming along. Joachim helped us source a suitable kit and my favorite lesson so far was listening to Leo drum while Joachim played his guitar. If you’re looking for an awesome drum teacher, look no further!

I recently started the drums at 42 with J, he’s been awesome right from the start. It’s been fun and challenging and I feel like I’m improving every time I sit at the drums. I couldn’t recommend J highly enough and I look forward to becoming the drummer I imagine and learning a lot more with him

I'm a mature age novice who had never played the drums before receiving a gift voucher for some lessons with Joachim. I can happily say I'd recommend Joachim to anyone looking to get started or to advance their skills. A great teacher who knows his subject & has the patience to work with me as a beginner. And yes after I used up the vouchers I continued with the lessons.
Joachim is a very patient and encouraging teacher, he wants the best out of his students and does his best to make sure he brings that out in you, I’m still quite new to drums but feel I’ve learnt so much in just the few lessons I’ve had, I always walk out of my lessons feeling positive and inspired. I would definitely recommend him to anybody who wants to get started or even to develop their playing further in a really comfortable and fun environment.
