Quiet and great place to fish and go squidding if you come at a good time, particularly at night. It can be very windy here so always be ready for any change in weather. Wear socks as there are mossies in summer. You can catch flatheads, mackerels ( two varieties), like, etc. When weather is really hot and calm, that's when the fish seem to be around more. Sometimes we see our neighbour with his boat who gives us cray fish. There are toilets at the front of the jetty and nearer compared to Dover jetty where there's a fair walk to the park and toilet blocks.

We stayed in South Port for a week at the end of January. Lots of people fishing off the jetty and we caught several squid, one was MASSIVE. The squid took my whole forearm inside whilst cleaning. yummy.
You can drive your out to the jetty. The locals here have no idea how rare one of these are.
