I moved out of my house in January, had to continue paying bills until they could complete a final reading days later and then paid everything outstanding to close my account. To my surprise I got another gas bill 2 months later, which I had to call back again and say I'd already paid and closed the account's (gas/electricity). Then only 2 weeks after that I was sent another bill for Electricity, after them telling me that I wouldn't receive any further bills multiple calls back. They don't know what they're doing and I do not recommend connecting with them.

Do not go with this company. I was on the Deal 43% off in which case when I rang to tell them I am moving house and would like to move my contract across they said I could not do it and would have to do a new contract on a lesser rate of 35% and thats the best deal they could do. I asked for the supervisor in which case the person never rang me back. I then rang back a 2nd time and was put on hold for 15 minutes of which the lady returned and said, "Sir as a loyal customer we would like to offer you 45% however our electricity and gas prices are all increasing as of January. I said other suppliers are cheaper and dont know why you are now increasing my rates on my contract. Her response was oh well you should maybe go somewhere else. See attached their terms when moving house pulled from their website which states you may move your contract over to a new home as an existing customer. They were really rude on the phone and questioned me about their own terms on their page saying "yes sir I can see how this can be miss read. What a whole load of Bullocks. Dont make the mistake as I should have checked the review here also.

Wrong usage calculations and ripping poor customers . @Alert @ Everything was fine until I left the house. They will rip you off with wrong calculations knowingly, Check the PRESSURE VALUE in the usage , compare with previous bills . You will know it . Complete rip off

Writing this on behalf of my wife since she is too stressed having dealt with Alinta. She was meant to pay a bill of 26 via debit card over the phone. But was charged for 2600 instead that is HUNDRED times more! Going through their customer service is almost hundred times more painful, the first officer we talked to basically stuttered all the time and having to ask her supervisor questions all the time. After explaining her the details for an hour, we finally got to talk to another supervisor which at least are capable of having proper conversation. This matter is still ongoing and we can only hope for the best. I strongly recommend to STAY AWAY from Alinta.

Update on my review below. After all the back and forths and then arguments on their terms Alinta staff member then contacted my personal work place and placed a formal complaint about me and how I operate. The personally attacked my work place over me questioning their terms. They have since offered compensation by paying my bills to get rid of me after trying to threaten me with Lawyers. I acted swiftly and had my lawyer ready to act so the retracted. Do not go with this company. I’ve been late a few days on my previous few bills and have not had my discount apply on gas or electricity and have paid hundreds of extra dollars. I have just rang them to say I’m leaving and you end up dealing with OS call centres who have no power and don’t care. Do not use this company they will rip you off blindly and you deal with OS call centres

Brenda and Mary are very helpful whenever I call for assistance, my bills are always the lowest price and I have never had an issue with this provider. It’s a shame there’s so many bad reviews? I would recommend Alinta as I personally had a great experience
