honestly the best student accommodation in Brisbane. The receptionists are so approachable, environment is always kept clean, furniture’s new (and white!!), and the rooftop vibes are just amazing. Glad to have found a home away from home.

The location is good but there were too many piranhas. The piranhas can be a little disruptive to your sleep but are also a great source of fun for the family! 10/10 would recommend unless you are allergic to piranhas.
A great student accommodation. The apartments and facilities are so nice, and the staff/receptionists are all so friendly and approachable.
Hands down one of the best student accommodations in Brisbane! Lived here for over a year and it has been a great experience so far. Pros: - Located in a central spot where grocery stores, restaurants, public transport are easily accessible. - The studio apartments in my opinion are ideally spacious, appliances like a microwave, bar fridge (with freezer), toaster and electric kettle are provided. Comes with a 40 inch smart TV as well! - Free breakfast on weekdays from 7 am to 9 am (Really helpful when you're rushing to uni:) ). - 10 minute walk to QUT Gardens Point campus. - Multiple activities are held every month and is a great opportunity to make new friends! - 24/7 open gym. - Has a backyard space with a basketball court (half court) and a volleyball/football court (not regulation but big enough to have a fun game). - The staff here are extremely friendly, approachable and helpful. - Plenty of room for A LOT of activities with friends (pool tables, table tennis, foosball and a movie theatre). - Free unlimited Wi-Fi for residents. Cons: - Windows don't open. - Bathroom doesn't have a shower screen, resulting in the bathroom floor getting wet (can easily be solved by placing a towel you don't use). - Centrally located air-con. This issue mainly arises during the winter as the buildings AC unit switches to heating mode, which can be a bit irritating at first but you get used to it after a few days.
Pros: - Spacious and comfortable room (double bed & 40" TV); - Conveniently located close to public transports, universities, shops and restaurants; - Fast Wi-Fi; - Friendly and informative staff (especially Andrea, who also instructed me with the cleaning and check-out process). Cons: - Really expensive (I paid 379 per week for a short lease last year); - Wasn't given a tour of the building upon my arrival even though there were almost no other residents around that day; - There are 2 modes to the AC system during winter and at night it automatically changes to heater mode which is centrally controlled so it can get pretty hot; - I was only emailed the check-out and cleaning instructions but not the details of the inspection process. My biggest complain is the inspection process and the handling of my rental bond. As I moved out just before Christmas, I was told by the staff that the facilities manager may be on break already and only he can inspect my room after I check-out. I spent the whole night and morning packing and cleaning, and the manager only came for inspection AFTER the day I moved out even though I already informed Scape few weeks ago that I will not be extending my lease. A cleaning fee was deducted from my bond and I admit, the room may not be showroom level clean, but I still find it unreasonable. Scape's response is and I quote "we hire cleaners from the outside who do not work for Scape, the cleaning rate is 1 per minute and they have to clean for a minimum of 30 minutes (30 mins X 1) 10% GST 33." I was charged 66 (1 hour) for cleaning some slight stains which everyone can see for themselves if that is reasonable or not. Also, don't rely on the Residential Tenancies Authority (RTA) for help with bond disputes.
The best accommodation amongst the others nearby however the rooms have no windows.
My stay in this Accommodation was great but their building have one big problem they will never Mention it when they give you the tour to the building. the window in the building is sealed and you cannot open it. They have 2 different modes in the aircon system of the building summer mode only cooling system and winter mode with only heating available and you can't switch between the mode as the whole building is control by the administration When they switch to the winter mode the room is very hot and you cannot open the window to cool it down. I find it very hard to sleep in the room without opening the door to put my on fan to bring the cold air from from the corridors The problematic aspect of these system that they don't inform you about it when you are renting with them if you are a new resident they only send you an email about it one week before they switch the system. I find this practice wrong and deceiving to the customers.
I am a current resident of Scape South Bank. The place is so comfortable and convenient as it's only 20 minutes by walking to the city and less than that if you catch a bus :) The location is the best. It's not too crowded and perfect for student life. The activities here are held regularly to encourage the student society from various institutes. Ultimately, I have met new friends who've eventually become my best friends! The most impressive moment was that I accidentally dropped my ring in the bathroom sink. After I reported my issue the the Scape portal, the next day, they managed to get it out for me. What a fast and impressive help! For me, I really love this place and hope the scape maintain the best quality of service!
