I've been visiting Smithfield RSL for many years and find it a great place to stop for a quick drink and a meal when I'm coming through. It has great prices, top value and it's a very comfortable place to relax, chill out and be yourself. I love going there when I want to 'hide from the world' and have some Edward Zia time. Great people and love their work!

Very nice place. Young man at front door very polite and helpful. Not very busy Friday lunchtime but lunch was delicious. Had a salmon salad and it was huge. Had to take half away. All food delivered to our table was hot and very tasty. All staff polite and friendly. Nice to visit.
Excellent Chinese food at Chopstix. My only complaint was having to smell cigarette smoke the entire time whilst dining which was not pleasant. Not sure why the doors are not closed/sealed to prevent smoke from the smoking area to go inside the club

Family and I used to come here every week. They had good food, and lovely service BUT we have decided to never return after asking managerial staff multiple times to turn down the very loud dance music. Do not go here if you are hard of hearing and do not sign, you won't hear a thing over the music. My family who are hearing still cannot hear eachother speaking. We had made comments directly to staff, wrote suggestions online as we were told by staff, and were rudely told that nobody else is bothered and its our problem that the music is horribly loud. The people who own the place have always been incredibly rude to us and extended family.
Disgusting, had to wait 90mins for food and was still raw when the food came out. Others who ordered 40 mins after we did got their food before us. Got our money back and walked out. The duty manager did not care at all that we had to wait so long.
Very nice entry, staff were amazing at front Reception, venue was great. We attended the Restaurant BBQ 88 where you cook your own meat etc and all you can eat.. It was yummy. Staff were great there too. Now, the bar staff at Smithfield RSL needed improving next to the pokies. If you have trainee staff on peak hour times can you have at least have one actual supervisor there so she can be shown what to do and not be saying in front of a paying customer that if they don't like the drink they can go somewhere else wow and that was from the shorter supervisor that kept disappearing on the poor girls left at the bar, who were using a laminated information sheet on what each cocktail contained. And then given a cocktail in the shortest glass ever too be told they have no long ones available. This was only 6.30pm (maybe staff should be collecting them from the floor where they were next to pokies, at restaurants etc). By the way worst cocktails, not the young girls fault behind the bar I blame the supervisor..
All though I am a member it is a great place to dine with Family special secure room for the children ,food was great and reasonaly priced
