There is an amazing gym culture here. The trainers are extremely experienced and great teachers. Ive only had good experiences rolling and training with others who train here. I'll definitely be hanging here for the long haul.

I enrolled my child in both bjj and wrestling and loved it at first but then it seems the coaches plays favourite with some of the kids which is upsetting because they'll give feedback and encouragement to those but then lacks communication with other kids, which is very disappointing to see. In reply to your response.. Thank you for taking the time to respond. But unfortunately, that's not the case. There were many times that the coaches will turn a blind eye to correct technique at times, not giving good constructive feedback or not at all. It seems like a boys club at times with some of the kids parents and it leads to them focusing more to the parents kids who do classes there. I hope the atmosphere changes because we would love to come back.
For anyone considering trying this out: I had my trial last night and I have to say, I'm pretty buzzed about this place. Staff were all super friendly. Everyone was incredibly welcoming, I don't think I've been to any other organisation where I've sensed such a distinct culture of inclusion and respect. As soon as people saw me they would introduce themselves, smiling and asking for my name. The nerves dissipated pretty quickly. I was paired up with a more experienced student who was really patient and went easy and slowly to help me practice the techniques in my own time. I've heard that some instructors might not pay you much mind as a fresh white belt. I found the opposite to be true. There were so many people coming around giving me tips and corrections that I felt like I was in a private class! Not just me but I could hear a lot of coaching going on for others on the mats too. Rolling was great too. I was pretty scared, thinking I might get a big brute trying to rip my head off, but I was paired with more experienced students and they went easy and let me try some things. When it was all over, everyone bowed and everyone shook hands. It ended up being just a lot of fun and a really good workout to boot. I am pretty unfit, so I was concerned about looking stupid if I fatigued really quickly. The instructors just say go and sit down against the wall and rest, there isn't any vibe of judgement or condescension, more so of understanding. Highly recommend trying BJJ at Gracie Smeaton Grange.
Welcoming and family oriented. Also a bunch of killers. Lol
Best training session I've ever been to
Professional trainers, honest and always welcoming.
My home, love the place
Would highly recommend to anyone who is wanting to start or continue their martial arts journey in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Wrestling. The coaching staff are world class and create an amazing environment for you to feel comfortable and to learn and refine techniques from the best. The atmosphere is very motivating and will change your life for the better.. worth the travel if you have to.. great team, great gym!
