I've been training in martial arts for the last 7 years - the first 4 of which at a different dojo. Sensei Stephen is hands down the best teacher anyone could ask for! I enjoy his classes not only because they provide practical self defense techniques, but also because they are amazing cardio! Not to mention Sensei is has a hilarious sense of humour! He's lovely with the kids and very friendly with the adults - all while staying thoroughly professional and teaching us all the values of respect, humility and dedication. I wholeheartedly recommend this dojo!

My 7 year old daughter has trained with Weststar Martial Arts for the last 18months. She has really loved the classes. As well as teaching the physical skills of self defence and martial arts, Sensei Stephen also works on teaching the children many other important skills like respect, self awareness, staying calm and determination. Each time she gets a new belt, there is a real sense of achievement and it has been wonderful to watch her confidence grow.
Great workout and system of self defence. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone thinking of learning martial arts.
I've trained in Weststar for a few years now. I walked in with no experience and loved it from the start. Great system . Sensei Stephen is an excellent teacher. Not only will you learn self defense skills. You will become more confident and learn some life skills you can use outside the Dojo in every day life.
I enrolled my son for this classes after reading the good reviews. Paying for 6 months classes while in fact they are running only for 4 months! Why should we pay for 2 extra months (i.e., 33% more) when there are not classes at all? They made you sign a “contract” without telling you that you’re paying 33% extra (as there are no classes during Dec and Jan). Very deceiving, I do not recommend.
I've been training at Weststar for four and a half years now and it has helped me so much. Under the sensei, Stephen Renton, I've managed to grow in not only martial arts skill and physical ability, but also confidence, discipline and so many more good qualities. The training is fun, whilst still being challenging. I couldn't recommend Weststar more!
My son has been taking training from Stephen from last 3 years . He absolutely loves it.
I trained with Sensei Stephen for a year and I absolutely loved it. Very professional and insightful. Each class is different and not at all boring. I am more confident now.
