Fun and welcoming experience in a lovely peaceful setting. Noy was a great teacher with a good sense of humour. Loved the experience and would be happy to recommend; as well as come back again

The class was very informative and I learned lots. The property is beautiful and well worth the drive from Brisbane. In my opinion, the main teacher was a bit condescending and impatient so if that would be triggering for you, maybe go elsewhere. The intern was lovely though, and very helpful. She made the experience very enjoyable. Overall, I still enjoyed myself and I don't regret taking the wheel throwing course here.

Absolutely lovely experience here for the Introduction to Pottery class run by Noy. Excellent instruction, made 4 pieces over 2 hours, lots of laughs and so much fun. 110% recommend this if you've ever wanted to try Pottery on a wheel.

I'd never tried pottery before going to Windmill so was a bit worried how I'd go, but the staff are extremely helpful and guide you through the process so you can be sure you'll make something you are happy with. You can book in for a single-lesson if you just want to try it out and if you'd like to keep learning you can do structured classes where you can learn how to create everything from mugs to teapots (which I did and would also recommend). The pricing is also very reasonable: before going to Windmill I'd investigated other places that seemed to charge an arm-and-a-leg for one lesson, with the price of clay not included (which may not bother everyone) but if you want good value, or are simply starting out and unsure if pottery is the thing for you, you should definitely try Windmill Pottery because it is absolutely worth it.
