It’s when things get tough, the true grit of a great business shows. I had a serious problem with my engine that needed Simon and the team to really step up with lots of to and fro with the manufacturer. The band aide solution could have been chosen as the easy outcome, but Simon pushed and prodded to end up with a completely perfect outcome. Things go wrong in boats - always have, and always will so it’s great to have Aqua Power on the job. Many thanks.

I want to compliment Aqua Power Marine and give my thanks to great service and support recently. My boat is a late model, with a 240hp Volvo Penta engine. I had a warning engine light whilst preparing my boat to put on the water so I contacted Aqua Power, and within 1/2 hour, Roger arrived to investigate the issue. After performing diagnostics, he identified the fault, arranged for the defective part to be delivered to my location and immediately replaced it and confirmed the problem was resolved. We were able to take the boat out and it performed flawlessly. I would like to commend Roger for his expertise and excellent friendly customer service where nothing was too much trouble. We have had this same level of great service from his colleague David. Thank you Aqua Power Marine for your fantastic service. Highly rated

After having paid a kings ransom to have my first warranty service done and getting an even higher quote for my second service recently, I felt I had no option but to shop around. More than 900 compared to less than 600 from a qualified marine diesel mechanic who has been servicing Volvo engines for many years was an easy choice. What was revealed was astonishing to say the least. Last year Aqua Marine was contracted to carry out the first warranty service on my D120 engine. I discovered with much disgust that the mechanic they used had not changed the primary or secondary fuel filters, (these had been marked by myself for identification and were still fitted when this recent service was done) had left the oil filter and adaptor in the block loose and the engine had been slowly leaking oil from the loose filter and adaptor. Now, I take my safety at sea very seriously but obviously they do not! We spend several weeks a year cruising Bass Strait and sail regularly in Port Phillip. Knowing full well what Bass Strait can dish up we would be in serious trouble if we had an engine failure out there! I will now as a result advise all of my contacts strongly never to use Aqua Power for service works as they grossly overcharge for their service and they had not followed the Volvo Service Procedures correctly and will put you, your crew and vessel at risk. I took the liberty of documenting and taking Photographic evidence to support this and it cannot be disputed! Volvo should discontinue any association with them. For the sake of safety and you vessel shop around and use someone else.

Had been given the run around by several Marine Shops trying to sell me after market parts ( China and Tiawan ) which were more expensive than OEM , a friend put me on to Aqua Power, these guys couldnt be more helpful and understanding, and will match any price out there... 5 Stars from me... Cheers

Thanks Justin and Dave and the team at Aquapower Marine for helping us (newbies) with all aspects of breaking in our new Whittley SL 22. Firstly we did serious damage day 1 to our prop and the guys at Aquapower took her out of the water put in a new prop and had her back in the water without hesitation. Club Marine insurance were great in covering the cost. Secondly we had troubles with a stiff shifter and a few minor things that needed attention. Dave took her out of the water, trailored her to Seaford, did all the repairs and had her back at Patterson Lakes within 48 hours. Goes like a dream. We love this boat and Aquapower Marine. you are amazing and we love your "can do"..."no drama" attitude. Today

We were loyal customers for over 8 years, ie gave them plenty of work. The second turbo needed replacing, the quote seemed high and the number of man hours seemed high (9 hours for a turbo exchange). Monitored the tech via CCTV at the marina, turned out he completed the work in half the time (4 hours), at 130 an hour, and in this case for an apprentice ... you have to be kidding. Have changed mechanics, it turns out the whole industry in Melbourne are aware of these guys - Simon and Justin to be precise. Turns out Riviera don't even recommend them and warranty work can be done by Mariner or Coastline marine in Melbourne. Not only expensive, but when the turbo was replaced, the exhaust mixer was obviously detached and reconnected and they failed to report or notice a hole in it; - meaning salt water cooling was entering the exhaust system and spraying back into the new turbo. In response to your reply, I have posted this 8 months after this happened, turbo and exhaust mixer was inspected less than 4 weeks after and the hole and subsequent spray of salt water and crystallisation in the new turbo was severe. I’m just glad the new mechanic is so thorough, an as a new customer he thoroughly inspected everything. There was also corrosion in stainless exhaust sections as they had not been earthed when aqua power replaced some years back. It’s funny how talking to people in the industry and telling them all this, they are not surprised - not a great reputation guys.
