Extremely disappointed recently. Travel agent at Flight Centre Samford did not understand the client brief, misjudged the market and demographic of Samford and failed to read / ask / investigate what the client needs were. Booked us on the lowest of low airline ticket prices for a recent honeymoon trip. Did not ask if we were affiliated with that airline / if we had frequent flyer numbers to quote nor did she think that we might want meals for the flight despite being told that it was for a special trip away. The trip got off to a bad start and we arrived at our destination in a terrible mood (and hungry). Seemed only concerned with securing a sale rather than quoting honest, true prices. Ignored our preferred hire car company member code and booked us with a 'budget' hire car company. We were then informed when we arrived that there was no insurance at all for the vehicle and that was an extra 130 per day. So, the budget hire car actually ended up costing us more than had she of listened and booked us with AVIS as instructed. Flight Centre are driven by sales and rewards (incentivisations) for the travel agents that work there, not in actually understanding what the client needs are, who the client is or how much they want to spend. Would not recommend them if your'e wanting something luxury, bespoke or boutique when it comes to travel experiences. You are just another number with them and they have their 'preferred' companies that they will always want to use if they know there's better kick backs in it for them somehow.
Love Flight Centre Samford. Jenna is a legend. Friendly and professional. Always goes the extra mile.
My family have booked several holidays through Flight Centre Samford and have always found the Flight Centre Team to be friendly, good at their job and great at making our holiday just a little extra special. Our last experience with Flight Centre though has been extra special, Nicole (our rep) went above and beyond to make sure things went smoothly and when you are traveling with small children these extra touches make a huge difference. I would feel confident referring anyone wanting to book a holiday to the Samford Flight Centre team.
