I attended Robina from grade 8-12 and always had a good experience at this school. The immersion language program was great and provided me with many opportunities and experiences. I was always happy with my classes and timetable, as it was very flexible and they really did try to arrange it the best they can so everyone could do what they wanted. Many of the teacher here are lovely and very passionate about what they do, however there were some teachers who seemed like they were inexperienced or hated the students. In my final year, a few students including myself wanted to design and print a yearbook for our cohort. We began early in the year and had the support and enthusiasm of the entire grade. However I feel as though the principal overreacted and demanded that we were not allowed to do it simply because it didn't work out previous years. She did not even give us a chance and had threatened teachers who had spoke up in support of us. Regardless, we made an unofficial yearbook that turned out better than we could of hoped, and more than 80% of the students got involved and bought one.

The school is a bit confusing to navigate at first but can be easy to adjust to. The facilities are a quite lacking with no real specialisation into anything. The classes are quite large so if you fall behind it is quite hard to catch back up unless you're blessed with a motivated teacher. This school has been one of the better schools in terms of quality of teachers of all the schools I've been to but this school also had one of the worst teachers I've ever had that absolutely destroyed my creative passion in the topic they taught. The school culture is alright, normal child divisions on culture as you see in most schools. During my time here I also never experienced any bullying to or from anyone.

Robina makes me feel like I'm the part of their family. Robina offers many great programs and unique opportunity that student can experience. I remembered that I got a chance to help out at the VIP commonwealth game where we get to meet Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. The teachers are also friendly towards the students. They were helpful, supportive, and make lessons always enjoyable. I recommend.

I’ve been staying at the Robina Private Hospital for the past few weeks and I need to commend your school students who I watch walking to school as they are such a well dressed, well mannered and courteous group of young people. Well done to each and everyone of them!

So I see on here nothings changed about teachers caring more about uniform (no one can believe that I was in detention for having a bloody Nike tick on my socks in year 8 when other students were off doing far worse things) than education or even welfare of the students as I see the bullying has only gotten worse and I thought it couldn’t since I was there when a kid took his own life allegedly because of bullying? Parents, save yourself & your child the trouble & either homeschool them or put them in another school with a bit of standards.

Teachers listen and are understanding. Take into consideration that if you need help they will give you extra work that will help boost your marks. They also have great programs like Japanese Immersion, academic of excellence and many sports programs. I highly recommend this school to anyone that is thinking of joining.
