The review below from JB is wrong. The owners go to the fish market EVERY DAY at 3.00am. Their fish is fresher than any other fishmonger in Melbourne. Their service is excellent and their pricing is competitive as Vic Market. Fish Pier is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Very expensive. Very disappointing that the people serving there are quite rude.

Fresh produce and they always go out their way to clean and scale the fish without fail

Excessively expensive that I would call this place a rip-off. I walked in to inquire on buying a whole salmon which includes parts that are just thrown away, such as head, bond and skin if eating sashimi. The price was the same as buying the fillets separately. I repeated my question and the answer was the same. How buying a big 6kg salmon including uneatable parts be the same as buying just fillets. This place is also empty. No customers showing the fish is not even that fresh.

The only good source of fish and seafood in Victoria Gardens, unless of course you drive the the Victoria St. Don’t even think of going to Coles for your seafood.

Buy fish from here when making Seychelles style fish soup. The mackerel grills well. When I have purchased salmon they always offer to scale and skin it at no charge.

Am I wrong in thinking that a piece of skin-on-salmon for one should have been de-scaled...at nearly 40 per kg, who buys piece of fish to eat scales...I would understand if it was whole fish or a whole side of fish, but a small piece, it's disappointing that you have to come home and scale a small piece before cooking it? Will not buy from here again...my last purchase from here was flathead and it was 'stinky' and not fresh...2 strikes, not going to bother again.
