Great atmosphere, very relaxing and inviting. The staff were very friendly and attentive. There are many different places to sit both inside and out. The food is good AND there are 59 beers on tap! I drink wine but my husband sent a picture of all the taps to my (adult) son. Enough said.

Great Sunday roast, beef just fell apart it was so tender. Generous amount of gravy but we were sad that the Potatoes were boiled and not roasted. Great range of beers on tap. Upstairs is much nicer than downstairs. The back room had the fight on which was very rowdy, but the Upstairs balcony was a delight
Very slow service at the bar on a quite Sunday afternoon. Unorganised. Would have expected better from a place like this

Great specials for dinners every night of the week. Portions are more than generous and tastes really good for a classic pub meal. Monday 13 parmies are great value and so is the 2 for 1 Tuesday night dinners. Lots of interesting tap beer to try. Love the dog.
Great venue let down by the total lack of quality in beer. How you can have 24 taps to play with and fill most of them up with standard CUB stuff you get in every other pub is a real shame. Other than that it's a great spot, good food and really nice staff. If someone there took a gamble on just 10 of the taps and experimented with a variety of craft beers this would easily be one of the best pubs in Sydney.
Merrivale change of ownership has changed this pub for the worse. Food quality reduced and prices maintained or increased. Beer selection dramatically reduced. Went once a week now will avoid. Staff are exceptional very friendly and attentive.
The menu isn't huge but all the dishes we ordered was food. Love it when pubs take cooking their chips seriously. They were crispy and golden. Seating spacious and clean.
