Dr Solomon performed an ACL surgery to our son's knee in May. Operation 'perfection'. Now 3 months later - with physiotherapy down to x1 days/week from x3 days/week - & a couple of check ups with Dr Solomon - he's back to normal. He's truly a genuine caring friendly passionate professional in his field - and we certainly were very fortunate to have our son in his care. Anyone seeking a professional specialist for their 'knees' look no further - highly recommend him - he can operate with his eyes shut - he's that good. Thank you to Dr Solomon & All his Team (prior in Childrens Peadiactrics - on the day of the surgery including the Anathesiast Richard - and after surgery) - phenomenal Team. Certainly made the antagonizing wait much less stressful for both our son and us.

I had double hip replacements 5 weeks ago to the day. Driving within a week, walking normally after 2 weeks and played 18 holes of golf today (with cart) and have zero pain. I couldn’t recommend Dr Michael Solomon more highly. From the skill of his surgery to his bed manner is outstanding! Exceeded my expectations! I look forward to surfing again in the coming months.

Dr Solomon and his team were brilliant. I had a left hip replacement in late 2016 and got my life back within a couple of weeks.

Anterior Hip replacement over 5 weeks ago at POWP. Amazing, walking normally with no support since week 4, have been driving, travelled to Melbourne and back by plane and up and down the stairs many times at ANZ stadium over the last weekend without any problems. Found Dr Soloman to be very professional from the outset, is a kind and caring Dr who visited me every day in hospital post surgery until I was discharged. I was confident in having him perform the surgery due to the amount of anterior hip surgeries he has done and from reviews so doing this one. The surgery went very well, up and about the next morning as operated on in the afternoon . Was an incredible experience to get up and be walking soon after this surgery and mobilising up and down the corridor by myself with a wheeled frame for support by end Day 2 with no problems. Left hospital on morning of Day 5 with one crutch. Although not required by Dr Soloman, I have attended post op rehab with the physiotherapists at Mater Day Rehab which has been exceptional. I undertook 2 visits per week till this week and now once per week until week 6. The benefit for me of that has been undertaking exercises under supervision/ complete properly, then to receive more advanced exercises when stronger (or keep me in check if trying to push things too fast) and so they can check progress by measuring hip flexion, to ask any questions, for the nurse to check my wound, pain levels, any issues and also really enjoyed the hydrotherapy pool in Lane Cove with all of the other lovely patients. Only weird thing currently is the lack of sensation in the front upper outer section of the thigh from the handling of the femoral nerve (anterior approach) which I believe will reduce over time to some degree. Most importantly no hip pain and can get on with my usual activities and exercise which I am so grateful for.

In August 2018 I had a right anterior hip replacement by Dr Solomon after the surgeon who replaced my knee in April 2018 said he only did the posterior approach . I was only in Hospital 3 nights and was back at work 5 days after my surgery by which time I was driving even though it was my right hip which was replaced. I required no pain relief post operatively nor did I need any rehab . Within 6 weeks I was riding my surfboard and walking further than I had walked in years. In August this year , I hiked the Cinque Terre and did it easily. I have had absolutely no symtoms since my surgery and when my other knee goes , as will inevitably happen , I will return to Dr Solomon rather than the surgeon who did my other knee.

Two years ago at age 81 I had a right hip replacement with Michael Solomon - and was back on the road and driving normally just seventeen days after surgery. This was an exceptional result and I worked hard to make it happen. But without Michael's immaculate technique and positive reassurance, I'd still be limping around - and scared to death of men in white with knives in their hands.
