Dealt with this firm in the 1980s, which brought me back to them again. This time, as in the ‘80s, the professionalism of the quoting and measuring and then the fitting was excellent. I ordered an ASM Security Front screen door Feb 2016 for 963.00 from Sydney Blinds and Screens Pty Ltd. 50% deposit was taken quickly on the spot, and I was told 6 weeks to make the door yet installation was May 2016. As a pensioner I was assured it would be made of the highest quality and hence justified the price quoted. In the past year I have noticed the Black Mesh in the door was no longer Black and the silver mesh was exposed. Mind you this door does not get rain on it at all as it’s in a veranda enclosure. The mesh is not corroded not rusty just poor-quality mesh, the powder coating falling off. After calling the company today and spoke to “un named person” who, instead of agreeing this is an issue and would expect otherwise she cut me off and said its due to me living in the Northern Beaches Area. That was ALL she had to offer me. I’m at least 10 K from closest beach and that my door was only guaranteed to survive one year. Pity I wasn’t told when they came to measure and quote not once but twice the 963 door would only last a year! Guess the wind just blew off its coating, I wish my money expired on them too. Never again ! Stay away from this company is my advice. Especially if you fall under the "You live on the Northern Beaches" area, yet if poor quality materials are used it wont matter where you live. From the quote until the installation, everything went smoothly, I must also mention that we had the same firm do our security door some 20 years ago, and for a firm to still be in business for all that time, they must be doing something incredibly right for their customers. I have no hesitation in recommending this Company for all of your security doors, your blinds and screens. May that continue to prosper in theses hard times.
The blinds are absolutely gorgeous. The installer was amazing so very lovely and left no mess at all. I will definitely use Sydney Blinds & Screens again. The product itself and installation was very good. In regards to the quoting and confirmation process it was not in my opinion thorough enough. We ended up with the wrong colour on one of our blinds. Unfortunately one of the most prominent ones. In bringing up our issue with customer service we were informed that the sales rep had a different opinion of events to ours and that we needed to sort the issue ( essentially argue with him) ( his word against ours) Essentially he forgot to record the colour we selected on the initial quote ( amongst other things) and we had a mix up in clarifying (sending a photo we took of the sample which was seemingly misinterpreted) of what we actually ordered. Surely a professional company willing to take orders worth thousands of dollars with their customers should have a system better than this? To be in a position now where we need to argue with a sales rep ( who will likely protect his reputation as opposed admit any ownership) is not an ideal outcome for any customer who placed their order in good faith. If there was uncertainty with the interpretation of the photo the rep should have come out again to verify the colour in person? Noting Sydney blinds response below I can demonstrate that this is just rhetoric as I have evidence to demonstrate that the sales rep did not properly record our information on the initial quote which has led to this issue. I think as a customer this approach to our concerns is just purely dismissive with no real care for the customers position. I will end this review by saying that the product and installation process was very good but if there is any issue / misunderstanding etc buyer beware as this company takes no true ownership. Dear representative of Sydney Blinds. I look forward to finally receiving a call from you to hopefully resolve this matter.
This is our 3rd time with Sydney Blinds and Screens. We have installed security and screen doors, flyscreens, screen door with doggy door (so in love with this door) and blinds. From first point of call, to representative and installers they were professional and best of all listened to me. So happy with the service and products. We will definitely use Sydney Blinds and Screens again.
Outstanding service from a company we have dealt with for over 20 years. Matt & Mick were first class tradesmen. The quality of their installation of our new shutters is first class. Both men very pleasant and easy to deal with. All queries taken care of with professionalism. Very highly recommended to any one wanting new shutters or blinds. Excellent quality products.
