Old Melburnians Hockey Club Reviews | Rating 5 out of 5 stars (2 reviews)

Old Melburnians Hockey Club is located in Port Melbourne, Australia on 20 Todd Rd. Old Melburnians Hockey Club is rated 5 out of 5 in the category hockey club in Australia. The Old Melburnians Hockey Club (OMHC) was founded in 1930. OMHC is a sporting section of The Old Melburnians society (OM’s), a very large alumni of the Melbourne Grammar School (MGS). In 2017 we field 3 teams in the Hockey Victoria competition, a Vic League 2 side and reserves plus a metro side. Our teams play a diverse group of opposition both in size and geographic location including other School affiliated clubs, regional clubs and large metropolitan clubs such as Hawthorn, Altona and Camberwell. We also play in the VHA summer competition. Traditionally a club underpinned by the social aspect of competitive hockey, the OMHC has in recent times been implementing steps towards raising the standard of both the on and off field performance and professionalism of its three teams. With the support of various sponsors over the last 5 years the committee and senior leadership of the club have been able to provide a higher standard of coaching and resources available to the players and have seen both the culture of the club and performance of the players increasing immensely. We aim to further build on this progress and continue to develop the club with the support of our members and sponsors.

Perfect mix of competitive hockey and social events. The Todd Rd field is up there with State Hockey Centre quality, all this makes it easy to love this club.
