Always great, freshly cooked every time. Been coming here for years and never disappoints. Eaten at them all in Port and found this place. Fresh clean oil and crisp batter. Make sure you get it out of the bag quickly to keep it crunchy. We normally would eat in but due to covid we had tò eat on the waterfront near by. Even better with a stunning sunset.

Usually come here as we love the battered fish, but unfortunately this time we ate more oil then fish. They need to drain properly. I was holding a bit of fish with oil running down my hands. It was disgusting. Very disappointed as I have been looking forward to it. Also the staff weren't as nice as they could have been. A little rude as I asked for no salt on my fish but because they forgot and added salt they made out it was already packed. Rubbish or they would have gave it to me then instead of my food sitting there for an extra 3 minutes going cold.
My long wait wasn't as long as some, another customer had "number 9" when "number 21" was delivered, I heard him ask when his meal was going to be served as he had waiting 40 minutes, only to be told to "chill, your food is coming". My Salt & Pepper Squid was served with all of the squid on top of the chips making them soggy, there was no salt served on the meal even though it was requested. I can say that the most flavor in my meal came from the 20 cent squeeze packet of tartare sauce that was provided with it. I can only say, try somewhere else, don't go on the hype of "Port Macquarie's favorite seafood"
Food was great from what we had. My only gripe was they lacked choice compared to alot of other shops. But then I guess this allows them to be better at what they do.
A small fast food restaurant serving up one of the best fish and chips in this area. Reasonably priced and there’s an option for grilled fish if you aren’t into fried food. There are other seafood available too, like calamari, crab claw, to name a few. A pity that the sauces are not included in your meal and is a chargeable extra. Don’t worry about the sauces if you prefer your fish and chips with a zest from the lemon wedge, which of course, is included.
Working in the area restoring power after floods and called in to get lunch at Mike's. Lovely lady working supplied us with fish and chips free of charge due to the long hours we had been working to help the local community. Very much appreciated, thankyou
Nice fresh fish, big servings and good batter and crumb. The staff were friendly and quick at getting the food out. The chips were as good as any other fish and chip shop. As someone who normally only eats their own fresh caught fish, we went 3 times in 3 days so can't have been too bad, I don't go back for average fried fish twice
I love fish and chips and am known to travel for a good meal. Mike's was fantastic. Generous servings, well cooked and great customer service. Was a big line up waiting and they told me there would be a wait but over delivered on the time promise. If I wasn't stuffed I would go back and order a second helping.
