Taste of The Country is a friendly cafe inside The Hunter Valley Garden Village. It has countryside and cozy vibe. Sitting outdoor, and we enjoyed the live music and fresh air. Staff were very nice. Food came with generous serving, but the taste was not outstanding. Coffee was good.

One of the best coffee I had, try the Hazelnut Latte. We came here in June 2020, and we liked the coffee. So we had to pass by when we were visiting Hunter Valley Gardens Staff was nice and cooperative when we visited. And even though they were very busy last time in June, they had our order right and fast. Unfortunately, the milkshake we ordered was not that cold. And unfortunately they were out of ice. We would definitely come again if we were in the area.
Louise and the staff were excellent. They were very welcoming and friendly. Louise even gave us a map of wineries to visit and provided us her recommendations of wineries that will give beginners a good first experience to the hunter region. The food and drinks were delicious. The curly fries and the roast beef gravy sandwich were simply the definition of comfort food. The ploughman platter is also a great choice for weary travellers on the lookout for a hearty meal.
I travel here frequently just for a great coffee. The moment I saw the place I knew I was going to get good coffee. The aromas and the place was amazing. I can't thank all the staff enough for making really good mochas. Yous always make my morning when I come here, always welcomed with a nice hot mocha.
Convenient cafe next to Hunter Valley Gardens. Service was great, staff friendly but fairly lacklustre food. We had the vegetarian big breakfast but found the leaves were a bit old and eggs overcooked.
Good food, great service , and when the staff realised that is was my daughter's birthday they brought out a cupcake and a candle which was just lovely.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS VENUE (plenty of better options). I'm not normally one to write reviews but unfortunately this is the second time I have received poor service at this venue. I was skeptical but recently returned, the owner was so rude and cannot believe they are still in business. Her behavior turning other waiting customers away. Food is average and believe the only reason this place is still open is because it offers longer hours of food service than the other cafes.
The lady in the front accommodating the customers was quite rude. I thought it was with the covid situation going on that she was strict with getting the customers distances kept by 1.5m apart... But she was rude with how she talked to one of the food servers. He was about to serve drinks but couldn't find the table, went to the lady, but with a stern rude voice she told him, "What do you do if you can't find the customers!" I was in utter shock that I didn't hear the rest of what she said. I once worked as a waitress so I felt for the guy. I didn't enjoy eating after that, to make things worse, my partner almost swallowed a fly from his beer. I wanted to complain be he asked me not to as it will not solve anything co we've seen what kind of character the lady has that was in in charged.
