We attended a wedding here a few weeks ago - the venue is stunning and the wedding was magical. Valerie and Andrew were perfect hosts and took care of everything with flair and professionalism. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a rural wedding with a twist.

A nice place to stay although you have to travel 600 meters of rough road from the gate to get to the place. But it's good all up.
The house is large and tidy, the property and aspect are pretty, although they could use a little love. My brother and sister in law had their wedding yesterday at the property, their reception was held in the "Wedding Shed". The Shed is very pretty and rustic, a lovely venue for a wedding. It could be a lot nicer if the floors were to be replaced as they're very warped, more lighting in the shed (the lighting OUTSIDE of the shed is great and really nice for photos), and some insulation in the roof would help it to be a bit more comfortable in the warmer weather. If Val, the owner, improved on her professionalism and customer service skills, it would have been a much more pleasant evening.
Val and Andrew at Kookaburra Hideaway (The Wedding Shed) went above and beyond for our covid wedding. They were both very accommodating, and the venue is absolutely stunning! It has a lovely rustic feeling, and with all decorations and set up included for a wedding, the price is more than reasonable. The house attached to the wedding shed is enormous and accommodated 12 people with plenty of space to spare. If you're looking for a budget friendly venue in the Hunter Valley Vineyards for a wedding, definitely check this place out!

I would not recommend this venue for a wedding or a reception. The owners/managers customer service is pathetic. The way she talked to the guest was unacceptable and unprofessional. She was dressed in a singlet and tights for both the wedding and reception. Don't be fooled by her when first visiting the venue.
Dont do it! If you want a hassle free wedding! My son and daughter inlaw chose to have their wedding at this destination, they were so excited because they thought it would be perfect but it was a nightmare, Val was very hard to deal with in regards to covid restrictions, I get that there are rules and restrictions but she was over the top, they were only allowed to have 2 dance's for the whole evening, there is nothing on the covid website that states this rule! There is however a rule of only 20 people allowed from the wedding party including parent's but this didnt even happen because there was a bridal couple dance and a dance with the bridesmaids and groomsmen, nobody even realised that she would cut it off after this! I was told that she emailed the bride about this but this didnt happen either! Once the dances were over everybody started to leave because there was no point in hanging around, i feel that their wedding was destroyed by this stupid made up rule! The whole experience was not good, everybody was on tenderhooks because of the way Val had been even on the lead up to the wedding!
Had a great time at my sons wedding.
