We've stayed at Whale Watch twice in the last three months (a 2-bed garden view and a 3-bed oceanview) and both stays were excellent. They managed to get us in early both times and even proactively called us in advance to check our ferry time to get ready for our arrival and let us know when the room would be ready. Check in was a breeze - they had all the paperwork ready and it took less than a minute. Apartments have plenty of household items and kitchen utensils so it feels like home. Location is fantastic - very short walk to shops and Main Beach. Views of the beach are stunning and we spent many evenings on the balcony with dinner and a glass of wine. We would absolutely stay here again on our next trip.

We love staying at Whalewatch Ocean Beach Resort whenever we come to Straddie! The apartments are awesome, the location & views of Main Beach & ocean are epic. You can walk to the beach & gorge. Plus the hosts - Peter & Trish are legends and always happy to help out with any request. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great family holiday spot on Straddie.
Clean rooms. Great views. Friendly staff.
Ocean view rooms were fantastic for watching the wildlife and surf rolling past. Whales, dolphins, kangaroos and kookaburra's dropping by for breakfast every morning or evening. Great location highly recommend. The carpark also good for fitting large cars loaded up with over 2.3m clearance. Friendly Staff good value.
Great place, reasonable cost, very helpful and friendly management staff. The pool and BBQ areas are clean and tidy, the apartment main bedroom is the only bedroom with Aircon and an ensuite. The 2nd bedroom is small and has a ceiling fan, best suited for children. The resort is a short walk to the beach, cafes and nature walks. We would come back and stay here again.
Really good value, so clean, staff very helpful
Great place to visit, was really quite in July. Nice walks & fabulous views of the beach / ocean. Also got to see some whales somewhere in the distance.
