As for fish and chips, these guys have all the bases covered and the food is good (we ordered the family pack for 4 people at 100 - have a look at the pix). Generous serving of lemon wedges and tartar sauce and overall quality was positive. Seating location is not bad and you can also takeaway and enjoy your food with stunning clif-side view of the beach... Staff were friendly and I asked multiple times for a few extra things like sauces and plates to share food and responses were ok at peak businesses and there were no nonsense extra charges for ketchup or anything. Cutlery was wood so no plastic and things were MOSTLY served in paper/cardboard which was great. It would have been great if they had a recycling bin for all the paper (and the plastics) but they did have one for glass and cans.

Horrible food. Two times in a row now. I came here last year and there was maggots in my sour cream that came with my wedges. I complained and they replaced it but with horrible attitude. Not even 1 sorry. I thought it was a once off but I went again on this trip to try their food again. My partner and I were both sick all night after eating here with nausea and stomach pains. He couldn't even finish his wedges because they were so oily. The food must be old or not cooked properly. It's also incredibly overpriced for what it is. I wish there was other options in the area.

Fish was phenomenal - best F&C we’ve ever had! The salad was also a win; not sad and soggy like most takeaway places. 10/10 would come to Straddie again just for this feed.

Fantastic service and even better food. So good I made sure we got to come back again before we went home. The burger with the lot is 20, however the beef patty was huge as was the fillings. Definitely worth the money.

Very happy. Staff very friendly and helpful in deciding what to order. 2 orders of locally caught flathead and chips ( real chips not American Maccas style fries). Both crumbed and battered fish cooked just right. Chips spot on.

I was overcharged which is totally fine, everyone makes mistakes and the burger etc was yummy anyway, I don't mind picking off toppings or whatever that I don't want. But the attitude of the staff when I explained the wrong amount and asked for a refund was rude and vaguely threatening. I've worked in customer service a long time and I get that we all have off days but saying you're going to "jump the counter" to fight customers etc is pretty wild.

I don't know how you can have THE BEST LOCATION in all of the island and serve such awful food. The Fish wasn't even fried on the bottom side, can you imagine that? a Fish n Chips shop that doesn't fry the fish evenly? Really expensive too for such terrible food.
