They have a great range of specialist and technical books, and the service is friendly and professional. I often visit Boffins to browse the computing section, and always manage to find something interesting. I've bought alot of great books from here. That being said their prices on technical books are honestly quite high. I know these sorts of books are just expensive by nature but the gap between the retail prices here and online is just a bit too wide.

One of my favourite book stores in Perth. Centrally located in Perth CBD. Has everything from technical, special interest, fiction, non fiction, art, cooking, spirituality, religion, history, you name it. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and are happy to make recommendations, which is a great asset. I never walk out empty handed!
A great selection of fiction and non-fiction books. Particularly in the non-fiction section, which is what I was after. Prices are average 15 depending on the new book you are after. Sadly not wheelchair accessible but they do have graphic novels, manga and comics. A smaller selection from the non-fiction section but still great they have some! Children section quite large with a nice variety and it is pretty easy to find what you need. When I need a new book I will definitely come back here.
Lots of books available there. Old Edition books also available there. Personally, I love this place.

Excellent customer service! Was looking for a book that I saw on their website. Couldn't remember the name but the staff went above and beyond to help me find what it could be, and even offered recommendations. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff.
I give 5 stars on my reviews for anything over 85% really, BUT BOFFINS IS TRUE 5 Star and the Sales Lady Sharon is 6 Star. She knew her books inside and out, made lots of suggestions and was terrific WITHOUT BEING PUSHY. Boffins have been a great shop for years, but they are lucky to have Sharon, she could sell anything!
No trip to the CBD is complete without a visit to Boffins. They have a large section on Urban Planning and Architecture. They also cater for books on Politics, Science things, Health Care topics and Nursing, Arts and Literature, Engineering, Computer stuff and Flora & Fauna of Australia, Multiculturalism, Self-help, Psychology, Philosophy, Minimalism & Downsizing, Linguistics and Learning Languages, Gardening and Travel, World Cuisines and Cooking - yes, there is a difference. There is also a large Childrens section, which is the only section I haven't really looked into.
