This art gallery was surprisingly very interesting! I enjoyed the art pieces and is a good place to go if you have any spontaneous hang out ideas with friends. There are some very unique art projects that are on display at the moment. Here's some of my favourite!

Always good for a free bit of culture and entertainment. Varied exhibits which I've always enjoyed. Sometimes there is a lot to see and other times only a small bit.

Love visiting the art gallery. There is a variety of art works in currently including the amazing year twelve Pulse Perspective works of 2019. There are also natural fiber textile workshops for free for all age groups. Help the W.A artist Sharyn Egan create a gigantic grass tree sculpture. The workshops are in a beautiful old section of the gallery.

Please note : while the roof is being repaired only 2 galleries are open till Jan 2021.but itsq good place for those culture vultures with only an hour to spare. They are also making some upgrades that will make it worth a visit after the visiting the new Perth museum opening at the end of Nov to thr public.

Our art gallery here in Perth's cultural centre is currently a buzz of activity as new displays are being installed, however this didn't take away from the visit I just had. A fascinating array of eclectic art items for visitors to take in makes AGWA a great place to spend an hour or two.

Our Book Club attended the Art Gallery of WA on Saturday morning 21/11. We were greeted by Laura who was so cheerful and helpful in finding our guide Chris. Chris was giving us an insight into Aboriginal Art. I am not an Art Connoisseur but the knowledge Chris imparted, really interested me and would love to attend again. Many thanks.

I love this place!!!! I go here at least once a month to see the new additions. I'm a bit of an art nerd and love everything about it. I particularly love the student entries and this one artwork by Lance Chadd (he has an indigenous aboriginal name but I don't want to try and spell it and get it horribly wrong!). I suggest you go hunting for it, you won't be disappointed . Sadly the last time I went there, they were moving a lot of exhibits and artworks, so only three galleries were open, but I still very much enjoyed myself and can't wait until it's all open! Great staff who know so much about the art and very kind but dedicated security. Please when/if you go and if you're able to, make a donation to the art gallery on your way out :)
