Thanks for a lovely driving experience with my rental. The booking process was straightforward and the car was was very nice to ride, clean and fancy :) The ladies at the front desk are lovely and had great customer service. My drop off time was on a public holiday and everything was well arranged for key drop off. I will gladly go nowhere else if I ever require a rental car in the future :)

Would not recommend Hertz as they provided a Ute for my business which had a faulty trailer plug which did not work as required which result in my business losing revenue. They did however provide a replacement Ute when notified. The operations manager was unhelpful dealing with the complaint and was rude over the phone would not recommend Hertz to hire your next car.

Had a not so good experience with reception girl. I wanted to hire a car for 4 days. She took my electronic license details and when I went to pay she said they would only accept a physical credit card. I advised her my credit card details are all electronic. I told her I had no way of getting home to pick up a physical card because I was dropped off. She looked at me smugly said "nope. Need a physical card" and then ignored me even though she can see I had my baby seat outside and there was no way of getting home. I suggested to her that she can take more out of my electronic credit card and when I get the car I'll drive home and pick up the physical card and bring it back. She looked at me again with a smug look on her face and repeated her line "we need a physical card" then turned away from me. Firstly, we live in 2020 and people pay electronically. Secondly if you need the credit card number I could have given it to you so there is no need for a physical card. Thirdly, sitting back there with a smug look on your face knowing full well you could help but chose not to is just rude. Hertz of Penrith I urge you to retrain your staff on customer service. Especially this young lady working the morning shift on 28 Oct 2020. She is rude smug and dismissive and just refused to offer any help. Also please update your credit system because many people don't carry physical cards.

Poor service and attitude from the girl at reception Rachel. I returned truck with fuel on the line after just filling up around the corner at caltex and Rachel said it has to be over the line and made me (otherwise there is additional charges) return to the servo to put in another 2.60. Apparently filling till the pump stops is not good enough, you have to force more in! Truck also smelt of dog/ animals. Pathetic!!

Got a moving truck with tailgate pretty last minute, better price than the competition, only downside was the tailgate was fairly compact and not suited to larger items. Ask for James, outstanding customer service!

Scam artists - Do not use. Previously rented a vehicle that was provided to me with on half a tank of fuel. I advised the staff before leaving, noted it on the pre-inspection paperwork and took a photo before leaving When I returned it at the return at same level they tried to debit me 3p/L. I literally caught them red handed when I demanded they show me the Km on the vehicle when it was returned last and the Km on my pre-inspection to show there was a variation. The manager still wanted me to pay after I caught them trying to scam me but dropped it when I questioned if I should call the police. Cars are provided dirty intentionally so dents and scratches cant be seen during your pre-inspection and they will prob try and get you to pay when you hand the keys back.

Got a parking infringement fine of 150 whilst driving a hired car. Paid the fine in full the same day. 2 weeks later Hertz decide to charge a 55 processing fee as if the 150 fine didn't hurt enough. Disputed the 55 fee with a lady from Hertz Penrith branch explaining that I had paid the fine in full 2 weeks before they issued the processing fee but it was an outright NO that the charges remain. Had they justified the fee I'd accept the charges but this is just petty on their part. Overall this just ruins the experience with Hertz and I won't be hiring with this company ever again.
