Good for kids
A recent uncovering of an old house built by convicts. The foundations can be seen from ground level at all hours but the heritage centre has stairs going down for people to read more and see a small array of items on display. Highly recommended! It’s so easy to walk past and not even realise what’s hiding below. Who knows what else is nearby!?

City of Parramatta's Heritage Centre provides a comprehensive introduction to Parramatta City - a destination with a vibrant and innovative culture and heritage.
Not so elusively hidden underneath the V by Crown apartment complex, remnants of a historical township of Parramatta is exposed from their construction, it's quite noble that during their construction and archaeological discoveries that they sensitively kept all this intact. Plenty of history and a lot of photos to learn from, effectively cementing Parramatta as a historical and cultural precinct.
A gr8 spot to visit if you love local history.
