I went there with friends for a cocktail class. The welcoming staff was very courteous and full of useful information. Well presented visitor center.
Great little exhibition that sets up the history of the city. 15-20 minutes is enough time to look through the exhibitions.

People should come here first when they're visiting Canberra as this exhibition tells the story of Canberra and its creation! There is a nice 10 min movie and a nice diorama of Canberra that has an electronic projection and sound overlay! The restaurant is being remodelled tho when I visited!
Interesting enough to wander through. Lovely view out of the lake. More of a school based excursion or for history buffs.
Wow. Great content and interesting exhibits to look at. Fantastic experience. Great view of lake burley griffin and water spout.
