Love PTS trail races. With distances for everyone from beginner green to experienced black and blue for the smart folk in the middle. If you want to try trail running this is an awesome place to start.

Great trail running events, quite close to Perth, and very well organized. An opportunity to stretch your running legs and get close to nature. I just did the Snakes ‘n’ Ladders (all their events have funny and a propos names) and the MC was down to earth and had a good sense of humour. They really care about the participants and that everyone has a good time. At the race briefing she suggested that “meeting the ladders” will change us, and I have to admit that going up (and then down again) these super-steep hills in the morning sun certainly invited some existential musings! :)
Good fun "themed runs" are a giggle: In my first run I met "Alice in wonderland" on the trail : seen so many national parks FROM the elite to the daft loons just there for a run : good fun
Signed up for a trail run with PTS. All was ok until we saw that places were shutting down due to Covid.. Asked the event coordinator if we could cancel and transfer to another race as we were uneasy about the situation and all other runs in Perth had been cancelled, including all 5km Park runs. Perth Trail Series did not care and informed us it was too late to transfer to a different race as we were inside of 10 days (no refund transfer/period) and despite the Covid virus - the run would go ahead. The run was cancelled the day before. I was relieved - Asked if we could now get a refund as the run was in 1 year which was suddenly within the PTS refund framework (all runners were auto transferred to next years race). The refund was denied.. PTS says that we can only transfer and not entitled to any cash refund.. 200 blown just like that - I guess thats a Wooohooo! :) Go PTS - enjoy the
Great people, great courses and great fun, highly recommend to get out of your comfort zone and give it a go.
