Terrible after sale service. Bought a Robam rangehood a few months ago and now have some loud noises coming from the motor. Techs checked and advised it was not covered under warranty but unable to tell me why. Will be swapping out with a European brand after this.

These rangehoods are seriously amazing engineered products! I bought the A810 model and has phenomenal amount of suction. The product is flawless in every way and i would give it a 6 star rating if it was available. Everything from the motor, build quality, filter system, housing, materials used and styling is perfect! Get one of these and never buy a rangehood again!
We purchased a Robam Tornado rangehood, which comes with a stir fry functions. Unfortunately, it seems like our stir fry function doesn't work correctly as we don't get the extraction boost that we saw in the showroom. I contacted Robam support and they refused to come out inspect and insisted it's working. I requested multiple times for them to advise how I can tell that it's working when there was no sign that the extraction was increasing and the only response I got was to pay a tech to come and take it off the wall and show me that sound of the motor was increasing. I obviously wasn't going to pay this fee and Robam refused to do anything else. So I'm stuck with a range hood without a key feature. Complete rubbish. 26/11/19 - just FYI, Robam threatened to sue me over this review, claiming it was false (in fact, it was correct at the time of posting). They also attempted to background research me by looking at my social media outlets and accused me of hiding my civil engineer background, claiming that I knew more about the issue that I led on (even though airflow is related to mechanical engineering). So this is the kind of company you will be dealing with if you purchase their product. I have submitted a claim to VCAT and will update this review when I've resolved in civil court.
