Worst place I've ever stayed. I would be surprised if there were 2 people in the entire building that are actually students. A bunch of my gear got stolen on the first day I got there and the camera's weren't even turned on. It's under-maintained, it smells, and 80% of the people there are on drugs. I'm surprised they haven't been put on the news.

Inexpensive and quiet. Beautiful 1930s solid heritage building. Western balconies overlooking Adelaide City astro turf soccer pitch.
Good if you do not have anywhere else to go. Very quiet and great if you just want to focus on your priorities. The price is amazingly cheap and the location in respect to transport, shopping and recreational activities is incredible. That said the building itself is old and needing a little more than just a fresh coat of paint. There is a mixed bag of occupants in the building (not just students). This is where things get complicated because there are a few dodgy characters that tend to reside there. Although the management tries its best to regulate unacceptable behaviors you tend to have a few rotten tomatoes that spoil the experience. I was tempted to give it 4 stars but the hidden truth behind the building's history is something i find hard to ignore. The place was part of the old Hillcrest Psychiatric Hospital. Some of the smaller rooms still have an eerie feeling to them as some still hold that "seclusion room" aura. The building is surrounded by a graveyard of abandoned buildings that have been poorly managed and disgracefully maintained. Seriously needs a facelift.

Stayed there for about a month and would recommend it for students and people looking for a job. Its at a convinient location and is reasonably clean (you too need to play your part!)
Great place to stay where u havent got a place easy going people to very cheap :) I recommend this this to anyone its great
Agree with Ghost Rhytar...stayed there 15 years ago and nothing has changed in that time between their and my review.
