Both of the mature men who work here, have absolutely no customer service skills. There is no greeting, they remain behind the counter and don't engage with you whilst making a purchase. I purchased 3 books the other day and had to return one due to a printing error and I was made to feel like I was at fault. It's an absolute shame, as there is such a fantastic selection of books and gifts, but the experience is awful. I'll be supporting other local bookstores from now on, given that this is an on-going issue that refuses to be rectified.

Great selection of books on every imaginable subject
Pretty good - I think this site used to be the Arcane bookshop back a few years ago. I was trying to get an old Hemingway book for Christmas, not one of his more well known works - online the best I could do was from Amazon with an expected delivery of late January from the UK. On a whim I popped into Planet - sure enough, 2 copies staring me in the face within 5 minutes of going in. Great shop, limited titles (but the right ones). Well worth the visit.

Today went in with a great mood and had just come from one of my graphic design classes down the road at tafe, asked the seemingly nice girl at the counter if they had any "coffee table books" as I am creating one for an assignment. She continued to talk down to me and pretend I was strange for mentioning such a specific type of book and gave me attitude when I realised they didn't have a section for those books. Left feeling extremely annoyed and patronized.

For interesting not so mainstream.
Best bookstore on the planet! Staff are amazing, the selection is great and the atmosphere is sublime.
