Work takes me to this, the dock for all visiting tourists, and loading of big ships for SA. Hard to get into...need an escort and photo id to bypass security. All for the best I suspect. Hard not to be mesmorised by the constant dredging, passing of large...and small vessels, and smells sights and occasional fauna sightings swimming by. Getting old and looking aged right now, but still serves its purpose.

Only a 30 second walk to Train Station with access to Adelaide CBD which is a (40 minute journey). Terminal is basic but has all the modern amenities needed. Staff are friendly and helpful. Adelaide is one of the easiest cities to navigate and one of my favourite places to visit. CBD has Art Gallery, Museum and Botanic Gardens. Also Rundle Mall is a great shopping district. If you are interested in the night life Hindley Street and Gouger Street are open all Night.

I only come here to watch the cruise liners, and my two year old loves it. If you can time your visit with arrival or departure, you can have a brilliant view by the rocks/warf. Just follow the path down that is to the left of all the fenced of area and it will lead you down to a beautiful grassed area where you can watch from, with nothing to spoil your view!

A good and secure terminal. I went there the first time to board a cruise several weeks ago and I am impressed with its level of security and service. A bit far to Adelaide city but a good place to start to check out outer harbour and Port Adelaide.
