The pools and gym are closed because they are under construction. This was not communicated at all to us or on the website. This may seem small but it was one of the reasons we picked this hotel. Not to mention its fairly expensive for no access to these amenities. Our room was not cleaned from the last person (which was rectified by the lovely cleaners) just inconvenient because I'd rather arrive later than have to wait after you have just come from a long drive. Also parking is 20 a night and you have to hand our your card details over the phone to pay. When we rang and spoke to management they were short and kind of didn't want to accept any complaints. We were basically told there was nothing they could do. Hope the next person has a better stay. Edit: 1pm at night 3 months later and this is still the worst stay iv ever had. Actually angers me i wasted my money on this place.
Last visit was not a good experience. Administration is being conducted remotely. Booked 2 rooms. Batteries in remotes flat. One room poorly cleaned. Doubt we'll ever return.
Booked room 103 for 3 only 2 towels on arrival and they could not deliver another. Vent in bathroom full of dust and vertical blinds kept together with cable ties so could not open or close. Person sleeping on pull out was woken by bright light beaming through verticals. Not worth the money
We love the pool & the rooms are a good size & comfortable. Close to the water & lots of places to eat & drink at.
Very disappointed with the service and stay at Chifley Apartments. 1. Contactless key collection. Would work fine if we were sent our details at 2pm but recieved nothing till a 15min wait on phone for it to be sent through. The contact details at the front door ring out. 2. We booked a 1 bedroom apartment. There is no door to the bedroom. The purpose of the booking was a mini getaway with our little one. Having no door to the room doesn't allow you to do anything while child is asleep. 3. No towels in the room. We had to call at 4pm and towels didnt get dropped off till 730pm. The pictures advertised weren't what we got with regards to a 1 bedroom apartment. Wont be staying with this hotel again.
Check in was 2pm and we couldn’t ge access to our room until 5.15 ( after I went and spoke to cleaning staff personally). The pool was still under construction ( been like that for at least a month that I know of going by other reviews) but nothing was mentioned at the time of booking or checking in. Also there was no food service of any kind, not even a breakfast bar and the gym is also closed. Again nothing was mentioned in time of booking or check in. We also waited over 30 minutes for information to be sent to us regarding where to get keys etc from on arrival. This was a joke considering parking in the surrounding area is hard to come by. We ended up driving around and looking at some of the beaches while waiting. The cleaning staff were polite and apart from the cobweb ridden balcony the room was clean and tidy and I loved the full laundry and ample kitchen space but this doesn’t compensate for the price we paid and the overall experience. With so many other accommodation options I doubt that we will be back or I will recommend the Chifley to others
Excellent, only the dryer in room 108 kept cutting out as the door was broken.Thanks.
