I was a little nervous for my first open ocean dive but my fears quickly dissolved when I met Jo and Nick. Their friendly demeanor and their top-quality equipment left nothing to be nervous about. They're professionals and take diving safety seriously and they are a TON of fun to hang out with! From Magnetic Island it took close to an hour by boat to arrive at the reef. The ocean was gorgeous and I'm wising I could take that boat ride every day! We dove on a day with one meter swells and to my surprise, the boat ride didn't make me feel seasick at all. I think that's because their boat is the perfect size for dive groups and they navigated very skillfully through the waves. The dives were unbelievably amazing, they brought us to a hidden part of the reef that doesn't seem to get a lot of traffic and as a result, everything was lush and the colors were beyond gorgeous. Right away in our first dive, we saw white tip reef sharks right away in our dive which is rare. The rest of the day was like a dream, Jo and Nick tailored the route we took based on our experience level and comfort in the water. They even treated us with warm tea, cheese, crackers and other snacks on the boat between dives. What an unbelievable day, I'm so glad we booked with Pro Dive!!

Highly disappointed with customer service. I called 2 times to reserve spot for diving / snorkeling in 1 day in advance. I was notified that company has available spots for “tomorrow” at 7am. I called one more time for confirmation at 3:50pm, nobody pickup the phone (working hours till 4pm). I woke up at 5am in the morning to pickup the first ferry at 6:30am to Magnetic island. I was here at 6:50. Nobody there. Nobody answer the calls. Just silence. Guys, its not the way how you should work. This is your business of course but you lost not only 450 and 2 customers but loyalty and future customers also. Good luck with that approach.
Very disappointed with my experience. Booked my Yongala dive several days in advance, called ahead and asked if there was anything else I needed to do or know and was told that everything was good to go. I bought my flights to Townsville and planned a trip to Magnetic Island around the dive. I flew and ferried to the island only to have them call at 4pm the day before to cancel the dive because they didn't have enough people sign up. This is understandable from a business standpoint but they should have warned me when I purchased the tickets so I could devise a backup plan. They could have called 5 or three days earlier and informed me of the possibility of cancellation. Instead, the pulled the rug out from under my feet and unapologetically cancelled something that I was excited about doing. They did provide a full refund (as expected) and I dove with them at the Great Barrier Reef the next day, which was a good experience. The dive masters were kind and professional but it didn't quite make up for the terrible experience I had with my dive cancellation. I would have appreciated a discount on the reef dive or some other way of sympathizing with my experience, which is that I missed out on a world-famous wreck dive because of their inability to anticipate, plan, and communicate.
More than expected !!! We were for 3 days SSI course which was absolutely insane. First training day gave us full trust to Pro Dive team and equipment. So then was just easier and we definitely enjoyed our adventure. Huge thanks to Marita for full professionalism and passion. She made our trip safe, cheerful and unforgettable :) Thank you !! We will back soon
Honestly incredible day out! The reef was unspoilt and absolutely stunning. Saw so much coral, loads of fish and a shark too! The team were super friendly and even though we haven't dived much made us feel super comfortable. I didn't worry at all, instead I just enjoyed the dives. The small group and the fact that we were the only boat visiting this particular reef off Magnetic Island made the day out feel even more special! Can't stress enough how great today was and would completely recommend it to anyone visiting the Island!
Awesome experience, great service and instructor for open water dive course. It was a 3 day course, 1st day was in the pool learning the equipment and basics, and the 2nd/3rd day was diving off the shore at Nelly beach. Although the visibility of the water was not great, this was out of the control of anyone's hands. The instructor was very friendly and was very experienced in diving, so we felt safe at all times. I had a great time and would definitely would recommend this to anyone !
