Nice family friendly venue. Great for a summer evening out. Food vans provide the catering for the venue.

Great facility, easy to get to and to get out of after a game. Great views from everywhere and a really well cared for field makes for a 5 star experience.

Small stadium means that the small local baseball crowd fills the place up and brings some good atmosphere to the game. Craft beers are served on the first base side of the field with domestic offerings available on the third base side. Food is far superior to what most stadiums seem to manage. Waffle fries are amazing and you can't go past a traditional (and inexpensive) ballpark hotdog. Whatever you do stay away from the chicken burger.

The promotion of baseball in Australia is really a lost cause but it's the sport I grew up playing so I'll share my two cents worth. I think the efforts the Australian baseball league goes to to promote the sport are fantastic. Perhaps nowhere more so than at the Cavs homeground in Narrabundah where they offer all the trappings that make going to a ball game such fun. There's the seats in the stand behind home plate and then there's the bleachers where the real fandom happens. There's all manner of hot dog and sauce and sauerkraut and mustard and onion - there's even a Philly cheese steak (slow on the uptake here in Australia.) The grounds are licenced so you can grab a beer and sit back with your family and watch the action. Trouble is baseball just doesn't have the fan base and the three or four times I've been to a Cavs game there just haven't been any people. It's a shame really because baseball is such a wonderful sport.... Better even than cricket in the authors humble opinion. Best of all though is the action of the game. 2 down, runner on third, 2 strikes on the batter, I hear the sporadic shouts of 'No pitcher, Wilson!', 'C'mon Zac!' and our man lines up the pitch - something, anything is about to happen. The organist punches out a few chords of 'Take me out to the ballgame' and the pitcher raises his glove above his head.... These are the times I remember best, some faraway early Saturday morning when all I cared about were those knickerbockers and gators and hat and getting out there and, with any luck, hitting the ball and getting safely on base. I still remember the colours, faded splodges of warm white and terracotta orange obscured with time but never lost. Funny how hard nostalgia hits, especially when you're not looking. Excellent venue, great for families.

Went here for the first time last weekend expecting a small stadium type atmosphere. If you're expecting the same then I suggest you have a look at the satellite picture on Google Maps first if you're expecting comfy seats, etc. Overall we were there for the baseball so it wasn't too bad and we soon forgot about the long metal seats. Luckily it's a summer game because you'd freeze your butt off if it was winter in Canberra. I was pleasantly surprised at the food and drink prices though, really reasonable after living in Sydney for decades and putting up with stupid inflated prices for simple things such as a pie and sauce or a hot dog. If you like baseball and have a cushion for your butt then this is a fine place to watch a game.
