The scenario: male, 75 years, active swimmer, schoolteacher, but at least 10 kgs overweight, with a torn quad and creaking flexibility. On the brink of losing the "legend in his own mind" status. Yoga was an unknown, although lovely people seem to do it, and they seem to be able to move in very impressive ways! Hot yoga appeared attractive, because saunas were appealing but boring: toe-touching appeared a wee-bit suspicious in the red-cedar confines. And, then, when an arthritic old mate mentioned his experience at another Fire Shaper, I felt as though I must try. Three sessions in the first week with (Dr) John, Kel and Natalie at Mudgeeraba were a significant challenge, but these folks were fantastic instructors for the experienced clients, and just gorgeous for the newbies. If shyness or fear or embarrassment is holding you back, it is no problem to these folk. They overcame my doubts. Go for it! I have no hesitation in suggesting that you will have fun, feel really good - and, while I'm there, you won't be the least-able participant in class! LOL Bryan
