I called in to book a tasting. A lady called Marnie answered the phone and took my details. I said I'll pay on the day when I get there. I got there the following day at the time of the booking to find that there was no booking as such under my name. Luckily, we were able to do the tasting as it was not that busy. There were a few different types of drinks. I like the lemon myrtle liqueur and my partner preferred the famous butterscotch schnapps. Overall it was a good experience.
A lovely stopover to try some of their handcrafted spirits and liquers. Bookings are a must for their tasting sessions and cost 5 per person. If you can't get through their phone number, I suggest sparing a few hours to get in early to book spots in person. Everything on the tasting menu is delightfully refreshing. If you want to go one step further do try the whisky tasting as well for an extra 20 dollar. It has lovely woody notes and adds to the experience. Covid safe guidelines: At the entrance, you are expected to sign-in with your details and the area is sanitised m between 2 sessions.
The distillery itself was good and the tasting gave a generous selection on options - the butterscotch a must have. Unfortunately even with a booking as part of a wine tour, the lady serving our group was quite pushy and did not quite provide a level of service l would expect. Will have to visit another time when they aren’t so busy to truly experience their offerings.
Absolute small batch gem - very friendly staff who kindly included us in a tasting even though we hadn't booked. A delicious range of liqueurs on offer.
Great distillery to visit when you are wine hopping in Mudgee. Great range of unique liqueurs.
