Have used Mr Waterbed a couple of times now. When we moved house we got Ben to drain and disassemble our timber sided waterbed and then set it up again at our new house. We recently replaced our floors and got Ben to drain and disassemble the bed. As the bed frame was low (20cm high) and nearing 30 years old I talked about options of getting my own frame and a higher bed. Ben did this easily and was able to make to my measurement. We now have a beautiful soft-sided waterbed using my new bed frame and it is so much easier to get in and out of. Don't go anywhere else if you are in Brisbane give Mr Waterbed a call first you won't regret it.

Unfortunately nowhere on their website or social media pages do they say that their showroom is currently closed due to COVID. I understand that they may have decided to close for this period, but given your location I would consider it a courtesy to say somewhere that they have made the decision to temporarily close so people don't make the long trip just to find that you're closed. There was also no sign indicating that you could call to get service during this period. I was also somewhat surprised to see that it was a business operating out of a shed on the front of their property. I've edited this raising the stars as I felt one star was a bit too over the top. Also, compared to your competitors that you might be a lot more trustworthy (it a low bar to compete with).

We had a waterbed for 33 years in Sydney. On moving to the Gold Coast we decided to change to a good quality normal mattress - big mistake! After a year of persevering we gave up and called Ben at Mr. Waterbed. What an absolute revelation. We visited his office and he showed us what he could do. After all those years on a king size baffle free mattress we tried his soft-sided two bladder bed he had on display. It is absolutely amazing, if the person on one side is restless the person on the other side is not disturbed at all whilst you are not aware of the soft centre divide. We chose a king sized soft sided bed with carved timber head and base board and with matching side tables. We selected the wood turnings, glass inserts and the colour of the stain. This wasn't a design out of a catalogue, this a was a design we put together which was made from scratch. When Ben delivered and set up the bed we were delighted, it was better than we ever expected, he is a genuine craftsman. We could not have got this quality from a mass produced factory, he obviously puts a lot of skill and love into his work. Every time you walk into the room you can't help admiring it. Thank you Ben. We would highly recommend Ben from Mr Waterbeds. The service was first class and the cost was much less than we originally thought for two replacement bladders, an empty, new liner, new (proper) bladder divider and a refill and conditioner, all done with the minimum of fuss. Ben came when he said, he would, gave a very reasonable quote and delivered. We will definitely use Ben again when we move and for all our requirements from now on. 10/10 I wouldn’t go anywhere else now.
