Rang Rickards for emergency repair of central heating-could not recommend more highly. Phone call was answered extremely promptly and professionally by Harry, who was out himself within the hour. Extremely knowledgable and efficient and pricing was excellent. I will continue to use them in the future now!

Super happy with our ducted heating. They did a great job and had very pleasant customer service.
Submitted an internet request for quote, got no response for 5 days, when i rang I was told they hadn't got to it yet, they were busy..not great confidence to deal with this mob.
Similar experiences to those detailed below - three men arrived to supply a quote to fix or replace our broken heater. No adherence to social distancing whilst on our property. Billed (as a lump sum, no breakdown of charges supplied) nearly 300, then supplied with a quote which was nearly 3000 higher than that given verbally.
I can't speak highly enough of Rickard Heating. I called and spoke to the owner / manager Dean who was extremely considerate in explaining the ins and outs of servicing our old existing heater. He sent out a technician who discovered the unit was leaking Carbon Monoxide and they recommended a complete replacement. We organised a replacement for a very reasonable price quickly and efficiently. The technicians who installed the new unit were polite and considerate and very quick.
Be very careful of this business. I rang to arrange for someone to come out to fix a heater that was not working after having tradies do other work at my place. The person l spoke to said that there was a callout charge of 100 or as my heater was due for a service l could get a service for 160 and if they was extra work needed there would be an hourly charge. I agreed to the heater being serviced. The techician turned up, looked in the roof cavity and said there was no power. He then connected a power cord and serviced the unit. He said l would need to get an electrician. I asked if he knew anyone and he said no. Ithrn received a bill for the service, and a call out fee and 49.50 for extra time because he said it needed an electrician and he had to use a power cord. As with the other review, l paid for the service and explained in an email why l would not be paying anything extra. I am now being threatened with legal action. I will look forward to explaining to VCAT the overcharging of this business.

Extremely disappointed to say the least. I organised for Rickards to come and look at my exhaust fan that was not working properly in my bathroom. I was told 80 would cover the inspection and the first half an hour of any work required. A couple of guys came to have a look, and unfortunately could not fix the issue. The next thing I know I get a bill in the mail for 300 odd dollars! When calling up to find out what had happened to our original agreement it was explained that the guys were there longer than expected. This did not line up with what happened on the day at all. Additional rates were never discussed with me prior nor on the day of consultation. I've the phone I felt abused and bullied into feeling like I owed him the money. I spoke to consumer affairs, the advice given was to pay the amount I believe I owed. I transferred the 80 plus GST and sent an email explaining my position. 4 months has gone by now without hearing anything further. Only to recive a letter from a debt collector chasing me for money plus admin fees! Have you no shame!!! I currently work as a project manager for a commercial builder in Melbourne. Rickards definitely don't understand how small our industry is and how bigger impact something like this can have on your reputation. Word travels fast. There is no need to get abusive for the sake of a couple of hundred dollars. Things must be desperate for Rickards at the moment. Wish I could give them less than a star.
