Call me old fashioned, but when you contact a councillor and specifically say that you’d like to talk about the recent death of your mother, you kind of expect your councillor to - y’know - remember she’s dead. Not ask how your relationship is now, then go “oh, did I know that?” when you are forced to say “she’s dead”, after you already spent an entire prior session talking about it. Really scattershot structure, coupled with a basic lack of consulting notes beforehand to remember fairly large and basic details about the client, and being sent on your merry way to “see how you go for now” after four meetings doesn’t leave you with the impression of an overly professional/compassionate environment.

I have had a business relationship with Mt Lawley Counselling for nearly 15 years (since 2005!). Hank, Julia and everyone else I've been involved with at MLCC have always been incredibly easy to work with. Although I have not had the pleasure of a 'formal' counselling session with any of the practitioners here, I can recommend them as a genuine, ethical business who have a wealth of experience & knowledge.
Hank Glory is a highly professional Clinical Psychologist who shows a genuine interest. I would recommend anyone to try a first session to see if there is a good fit for ongoing therapy.
Cannot recommend whatsoever.
