Stressed out over lateness for ski lessons, but the amazingly patient and friendly staff handled us with care and everyone was good. Lesson achieved, and two days of amazing ski fun time. Good to just rent from here right next to the school and lift.

I put two kids in for the afternoon session. For the first day, its heavily raining. Its no one's fault. But you can imagine how little kids feeling. It's supposed to be 1:003:30 for 110 each. And the kids were waiting for me to pick up at 3:00. My son took a break from 2:00 to 2:45. And the instructor finally got him out and took him to finish at 3 sharp. I said, he just started. And the instructor replied she couldn't get him out. But you do realize we paid for 3:003:30 for teaching skiing not for playing inside your building. For the second say, due to a traffic accident on the way, it took us 1.5 hours more than usual to arrive there, the coordinator said she found an instructor for my two kids. But my son just got one go on the snow before the school finished at 3:00 and my daughter ended up lining up with three other kids who were 2 years younger than her. I totally understand both the weather and the traffic accident were out of their control, but I wanted to say that they made no efforts at all to make up our loss. As that's not our fault either. 440 just for the class. Plus 150 for renting the ski sets. Try throwing 600 bucks in the wind. You will feel how I felt. Not worth your hard-earned money. I witnessed one frustrated father throwing those skis down the stairs. I can totally understand how frustrated, disappointed and angry he was. He just chose a wrong way to show it.

While our experience with Buller Sports was abysmal, that with the ski school was at the other end of the scale. Thanks to Tracy behind the counter and Louise our instructor, we did finish the afternoon with more of a smile than a frown. Attentive, caring and customer friendly behavior. I might say our best interaction from our weekend at Mt Buller.

We drove all the way from Boronia to Mt Buller just for my kids to have a lesson of snowboarding. We really appreciated that even though we were 10mins late, they still accepted us into the group. But to be honest, they didnt teach much useful skills, i could teach my kids better. However they did make some friends from the group which was good

Some teachers are great, whilst some just want an easy working holiday visa. Instructors are very hit and miss when it comes to their teaching competency. The teacher me & my fiance had simply didn't want to be there. He stood there telling us what to do without any proper demonstration. My fiance had a little trouble but the instructor thought it was better to simply walk to the bottom with the class and leave her behind, taking selfies with other students. This particular instructor also verbally abused another younger co-worker for interfering and aiding my fiance. In all honesty he should have had my size 10 ski boot kicked up his arse. My recommendation is do a private lesson so you can choose your instructor.

Sally at the school's booking desk was very patient and friendly to assist us with over the counter bookings from classes.. we went in mid June and was the start of the season (didn't get snowfall for the first 2 days). Was a pity that magic carpet wasn't working as the snow guns didn't cover all the way to it and the created learners areas was kind of small. (Perisher was able to cultivate a proper learners slope with magic carpet). The kids had a refresher beginner lesson and as it's start of the season no other levels was offered. (Perisher had group lessons for different levels even at start of season). Only option was for private instructor lessons to proceed further. (Would be good to improve on these, hence 4 stars) We went on to book 3 sessions of 2 hours private lessons over the next 2 days that we were there, with Scotts Parker, who took the kids for the initial group lesson. Sally was able to help us to get Parker to coach them and reshuffle his schedule for that. The kids was very comfortable with him and by the 2nd full day was already up on the chairlift and going down the beginner bourke street confidently. We felt safe to have Parker take my 2 kids and they were both happy to be with him. Thanks Parker. (5 stars for staff n instructors!)

Some instructors are OK. Some don't care. You have to get lucky. Back in 2010/11, it was much better.
