DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY WITH YOUR HOLIDAY BOOKING!! As you'll read from other comments from other victims, they have in their fine print that if an apartment is sold the booking is cancelled. I booked our Christmas unit back in May 2017 assuming it was secure. In late Sept we were advised it was cancelled due to the property sale, unfortunately by that stage little else was now available so we took another unit offered from this company. They have now tried to SCAM us for extra cleaning charges as the mirrored cupboard had fingerprints on it! I do not understand how a mirrored cupboard is not part of a standard clean nor how you can avoid fingerprints. Secondly they advise we should have vacuumed the floor before leaving; again please explain to me how this is not part of a standard hotel clean that a guest should vacuum before leaving ?? If you look under the beds and the couches you can see these are never vacuumed by the cleaners. We rushed to leave as the cleaner turned up early before check out time!! I'm just sorry we put up with MANY DEFECTS in Sirocco 906 during our stay - 1) many lamps weren't working 2)main toilet had a leak 3) the electrical switchboard in the kids room had constant buzzing 4) timber louvres in hallway/kids room broken 5) wardrobe storage space taken up with dodgy old tv that didn't work. If you have booked through these people TAKE PHOTOS OF CONDITIONS ON ARRIVAL.... and TAKE PHOTOS OF YOUR APARTMENT WHEN YOU LEAVE so they can't scam you for extra cleaning costs!!
This holiday rental company seems to have a monopoly on rental homes on the Sunshine Coast. From the beginning of our search for a suitable holiday rental to the last few days after our stay we have not had an enjoyable experience. We had specific needs for our family holiday and did not have a great deal of choice for a management property. From the outset, we only received information on what we could not do and by the end of signing for the keys on what should have been an exciting day, we left the office feeling like criminals. We have rented many a holiday house in many locations and never before have we needed to pay a cash bond of 1000. This I might add has only been returned after numerous phone calls and so called misdirected emails from the G1 Holiday Rental Company. After paying a fortune for a luxury rental and with the amount of bond we had paid, we were expecting a clean, well presented home. Oh no. Silly us. The carpets were filthy, the mat under under the coffee table made my stomach churn every time I looked at it, there was a blind completely off the window, some slats in other blinds broken and a glass pool panel hanging off. Add to this issues with keys, alarms going off for no reason, red back spiders under chairs and signs everywhere in the house saying don't touch the windows or extra cleaning fees will apply, don't forget to put out the garbage bin or extra cleaning fees apply....... No we do not recommend the house or the management property at all!
The G1 staff very helpful Kind without being overbearing. Cleanliness was fantastic. The Zanzibar is a great place and great location in Mooloolaba. Loved spending time up here.
Not very helpful or considerate at all!! Beware that if you cancel your booking they have no hesitation in taking money from you. Had to cancel my booking only 2 weeks out from booking it and they were very happy to keep 30% of my booking!! No consideration in refunding the money - even though the place would get re booked! 22.01.18 - So the rental that I had to cancel got re booked!! AND G1 is still not willing to give me my cancellation fee back! Not only do they get payment for the rental BUT they also make an extra 445 on top!! No consideration towards other people at all.
Loved the apartments G1 Holidays has on offer. The team has been really helpful in showing us which apartments are great for our holiday in Mooloolaba. Can't wait to come back and enjoy more holidays on the Sunshine Coast.
Hope to see you again. Everything was up to standard at Sirocco (Mantra) it was just a very beautiful apartment. Perfect Apartment, Perfect Location.
