I am so impressed with the High Low Columnless bed from Unique Care. It doesn't go as low as the beds we purchased at our hospital, which go right down to the floor. However 110 mm is perfect for our home use. The mobilising equipment can fit right under and the bed can go low enough for mum to have her feet touch the floor,enabling mum to assist with some support sitting in an upright position before we raise her legs into the bed. There is no impedance as per our previous electric high low bed, that didn't go low enough, and also had a bar across, length-ways, which prevented the moblising equipment going far enough under. Even putting leg extensions on the bed, didn't solve the problem with the bar; only added to the problem by raising the bed higher. The equipment still couldn't go right under, due to the bar. Having this new hospital bed from Unique Care has reduced the strain of transferring from bed using mobilising equipment and back into bed. This new bed also supports mum's carers who help us, as mum is x2 person transfer. As a Registered Nurse, I fully support the use of this hospital bed for home use for high level care people. Thank you so much for sending a helpful and reliable man to fit out the bed and show everyone how to use it. He also helped us remove the other bed, which was a challenge in itself. Bloody ridiculous. The level of customer service I had received. You have to call twenty times before Wendy even calls you back once landline or mobile and not to mention emailing the woman, and for what a poorly made, overpriced bed. I ended up purchasing from a different company and couldn't be happier.
Great service! I highly recommend Unique Care.
