Pretty good. Get there early. Highly recommend the lion 360. Paying to feed them 3 bits of meat isn't worth but definitely do the 360. Wild dogs were pregnant so we didn't get to see them because it would disturb the birth, which is understandable. Definitely see the Chimpanzees, them and the lions are the highlight.

A huge area with animals that are well looked after. You can see them really close and in their natural habitat. Loved the Zu loop shuttle...it takes you pretty close to the animals, recommended if you have kids or older people who can't walk long distances. Has a small cozy Cafe with burgers, fish and chips and coffee.

Such an amazing facility! We had the absolute best day. The staff were all lovely and there were so many helpful volunteers. The animal exhibits were well maintained and very large, giving a natural feel and freedom rarely experienced by animals in captivity. The conservation efforts of the zoo are commendable and even the food was delicious! The lion feed experience was incredible. Such beautiful, majestic animals. The Park also has great facilities for kids and our toddler loved it. Thanks for making my birthday so enjoyable!

WOW this place is amazing. Have not been here for a long time but was waiting for my kids to grow up so we could all enjoy it and enjoy it we did. Staff & volunteers are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Great that you can hop on and off the buses so you can stay and have a good look at all the animals.. Volunteers at all the stops advising what bus to catch and where it will take you and when the animals talks are . So no getting on the wrong bus. Enjoyed a very nice lunch at the cafe. Nice young lady even stayed open longer for us so we could purchase coffees and ice creams. We all liked the Gorillas the most so active and funny to watch. The baby's loved playing hid and seek with the kids. Well done everyone @ Monarto zoo.

This place is a standout in Adelaide. We have been going on and off since I was a little boy and now take my two kids. The passion and knowledge of the staff and volunteers is what makes it such a great experience. The bus ride is a great way to get around but can take almost and hour. With the two young kids under 4 it can be a bit too long. They have a large playground area with up close meerkat enclosures which the kids love. Do yourself a favour and head out for a day trip.

We were greeted by very cheerful guides/volunteers upon entry. Hop on and off buses to various animal look out points. I find its better to stay on the bus if u want to see the cats and hyenas. You’ve gotta have a very keen eye to be able to spot the cheetah under a shady tree or the Lions taking a nap during the day. The guides on the bus give very good commentaries on the animals and it’s habitat, so are the animal keepers during show times. I suggest you bring your own bottled water and some snacks. Food can be quite expensive, even if you use the concession card. Covid19 hygiene and social distancing in place, although the dining area can get quite crowded at lunch time. I find the Giraffe feeding enclosure is about the closest you can get to see the animals. Most times we were watching from a distance. We did not do the 360 experience. Overall, a very pleasant (cool) day to visit. 1h drive from the city.

This was an amazing zoo, the best experience I've had at a zoo. I adore cheetahs and the talk Michelle the keeper gave on the cheetah and the other carnivores, lions etc was informative and full of passion, the service from all at the park was great. Andy one of the guides was funny and really knew his stuff on the animals, I love the fact that Monarto zoo is involved in the real conservation of wildlife it was refreshing. So if you love wildlife and the conservation of our animals on the planet you should not miss a visit. Also you will see the animals in total comfort. You need to allow a whole day. Also worth a look are the behind the scenes experiences you can have with the animals. The 360 lion experience is great, chance to be up close to the lions, the money paid for these goes to wildlife conservation.

Fantastic experience. You hop on a zooloop bus with a very knowledgeable guide and can get on and off the bus as you wish. There is lots to see. A good cafe and facilities. We had a great day.
