The staffs at Mitcham Private were all wonderful. I was admitted for hernia surgery. The nurses that attended to me were caring, friendly, professional and cheerful; checking on me frequently and making sure I’m not uncomfortable. The surgeon’s advice was followed up carefully. It was my first surgery and they made me feel comfortable and reduced much of my anxiety. Lastly, I would like to apologise on behalf of my wife, who was impatient towards a nurse due to delay in my discharge. The nurse had been fantastic in looking after me all morning. I suddenly became dizzy upon leaving causing the delay. I hope you manage to read this apology (Room 209). Thanks again for making my surgery a better than expected experience.

Just had my baby boy Lenny at Mitcham private and can’t fault it! All the midwives are so bloody lovely! The rooms aren’t super modern or anything but they are still pretty good. I loved that they have sliding doors and you can sit outside in the courtyard from your room. Parking was fine... hubby found a spot everyday he was there. Food was super average but what hospital has good?! Overall was such a good experience. 10/10
I have had two knee replacements at this hospital in 2020. I found the staff to be caring and very friendly. The food was excellent. Highly recommend.
I recently stayed at the Early Parenting Unit and wow ..the staff are awesome!. I was at my wits end at home with my 7 month old and was exhausted. When i got to the unit they looked after her all night so i could sleep, and even on other nights. I felt like a new woman! And better still my daughter now sleeps much better day and night. The staff were all helpful and friendly. You can tell they have a lot of experience and advice. My friend stayed at Waverley early parent unit and she said they were terrible there and didn’t help her at all. So glad i chose Mitcham!
I just had a gastroscopy done at Mitcham Private Hospital. I could not fault anything, staff are exceptional, warm, friendly and attentive, doctors and nurses are very kind and caring in their approach and the front desk administration staff were so friendly and welcoming, I have had some negative past experiences with hospitals both public and private for example, staff with dismissive and condescending attitudes but not this hospital. I am very, very grateful for the experience and would not hesitate to recommend this hospital to others. Thank you for your care and compassion and for not treating me like a number.
My husband booked in on the phone to see a consultant for my son. They could not send the confirmation by email but confirmed the booking for today on the phone. I took my day off from work and picked up my son earlier from school. They took our paperwork after I tracked the COVID app. We waited for more than 40 minutes, the patients after us were all gone. When I asked them what was going on, they said we did not book in for today and they accepted our paper work by mistake because the patients this afternoon all had the same surname and they only check by surnames. Ridiculous! When I asked for if we can see the doctor today since we have been waiting for so long, I was told there was no space for today and we were booked in April this year. After I asked for a certificate for my employer, the consulting manager signed the certificate. After I told the consulting manager to cancel my booking, she simply said canceled. Very bad experience and I would not visit this service personally.
The team at the sleep school/early parenting center are exceptional! We took our son here a month ago and he's been sleeping like an angel day and night ever since. (He was 11.5 months old and before sleep school I was breastfeeding him every 2 hour overnight and some nights it would take up to 1.5 hours to get him to sleep) We had already done a sleep school day program, had regular contact with the local maternal child health nurses and contact a private sleep school over the phone. I can't recommend the team here enough. They listen, provide support and give you the break you need to rest so you can get your sleep goals back on track. If you're unsure give them a call and you'll be reassured right away.
Terrible for Maternity! They treated my wife poorly and she emailed Ramsay Health and never received a response. A lot of unfriendly, terse Midwives who gave us conflicting advice and then said "who told you to do it that way"? Uniform advice for new parents would be helpful.
