Spoke with Shaquil on the phone who told me that the current exchange between EUR and AUS was "nearly double" and that I could get 540 AUD from 300, if not more, if I mentioned I knew him to the guy at the store. Gullible as I am I rushed over to their nearest centre without even checking the rates online, only to get there and be offered 440. He said he could call Shaquil to check with him, after which he offered me a laughable extra 10 dollars for the trouble. Essentially this company lied to me to get me to spend the commission money here rather than elsewhere.

The older lady that works here is absolutely rude. I have never been more embarrassed for someone that works in customer service. I wouldn't even recommend her as a person because of how bad she is. Treated me unfairly because I had a 500 euro and wouldn't swap it for smaller currency so I told her I would sell it to her and she didn't know what to do because she was beaten at her own game. Every time I see her at Westfield Miranda I just loathe her. Theres day I want to go up to her and just scream at her because of how rude she was but as they say a lion doesn't turn around to a small dog that barks and quite frankly she's a very small dog. If i could rate her a zero I would so she should feel flattered that i've even given her one star.

I don't recommend this outlet - go to forex world at miranda instead as they have a better rate! What really annoyed me was that I made a special effort to go to Travelex on Wednesday, I explained to the lady that I hadn't been to Thailand before and did I need to pre- organise the Thai Baht and she told me no don't worry this store has heaps of currency. So when I returned two days later to be told sorry we only have 31 worth!! Annoyed!!!!!!
