I had the most amazing foundation shopping experience here.. seriously! I usually only choose foundation/makeup myself.. I’m a bit intimidated by glamorous looking store staff and I really hate being pressured to buy things so I stay clear. I’m always “just looking”. But-I previously failed miserably choosing the right foundation as I had moved from overseas and had literally no idea what makeup was what and I decided I really needed a bit of help. The staff member was absolutely incredible. I felt like I had my own “beauty guru” doing everything to help me! She gave me multiple little buckets of different brands of foundation indifferent shades labeled clearly to try at home filled to the top, she let me know about all her personal favorite makeup items (including items from different stores), she was just so genuine and honest about makeup. You could tell she simply just loved makeup and wasn’t pushing it. She gave me everything and there was completely no pressure to buy anything, I really felt like she was just there to help me. I’ve been trying the makeup samples each day and I am still deciding on a foundation haha! It really takes time to choose the right one and she really understood that. I’ll always be back to Sephora when I need make up help, picking though the samples at the drugstore or hiding in the corner of a shop testing products against a tiny mirror will no longer be an option for me. I honestly can’t see any other way to choose a product now. Testers at stores are dirty and look completely different outside. Having products to take home and time to decide, combined with honest and helpful service is the best thing that ever happened to makeup. Sephora gets it right.

This Sephora store is my favourite makeup store. The location is just perfect. I love their lipsticks and perfumes and they always have a varied collection. Mascara and eyeliners are available at 1/3 the price of the designers...Happy Customer:)

I had the best experience today with an employee named Amelia from Melbourne. She was so helpful, she gave me so much information on what’s perfect for my skin. Definitely made my experience less stressful as I’m not big into makeup.

If I can, I could just give this store minus 1 million. The staffs are liers, just want you to purchase and get commission. Please see below, I went to the store and would like to purchase a YSL foundation. They sold me a refill pack. I was wondering why it was not 93 dollars but 63, so I opened it right after I walk out the shop. I found there is no case. I then walk back and asked them why there is no case, they said you have to purchase the case separately, which they have no stock at the moment. I trusted them and went to David Jones, Myer and another Sephora store in Northland shopping centre. I was told that when i make purchase, it has to come with a case, I cannot just purchase a case??? You ladies just good liers! Also my skin tone is quite white and in order to sell their foundation to me, the staff tried a much darker color on my skin and said she liked it. I will never come to Melbourne Central Store and I hope my story can make you aware what you are actually buying!!!!!
