This is a beautiful memorial to the brave police men and women killed while on duty maintaining law and order in Victoria. Their names are cast in bronze plaques set into the wall facing St Kilda Road. The memorial is a direct response to the Walsh Street killings of Sergeant Gary Silk and Senior Constable Rodney Miller in 1998.

It's a magnificent memorial to the police who has been killed in the line of duty! They deserved more, has they go out every single day and night serving the community, and keeping the public safe and they do not get much respect.
Victoria’s central place to remember police officers who died in the performance of their role of protecting the community. The morning sun strikes their plaques in a grassy amphitheatre and shines light on the names of the men and women who died in the performance of their duty. Remember them here and at the individual monuments to them at sites across Victoria.
Vic Police deserves more as Melbourne is quite violent at night
Deserved memorial to honor the men and women who risk to protect us
I just like Victoria Police in general. I really don't know where I'd be now if I didn't want to be a police officer as bad as I do
Impressive in person, a good place to reflect on services provided.
This place is easy to miss if you are in hurry. The memorial commemorates the 137 policemen and women who have lost their lives while on duty since the inception of the Victoria Police force in 1853.
