I live in another state with my kid. They reached out to me on behalf of an abusive ex through email. I highly recommend they go through their client's criminal history before trying to help an abuser take control of his victims again.

As the primary carer for our 2 daughters who had never received a cent from my ex-wife in child support, I called for mediation due to several issues: - My ex was extremely rude and disrespectful to myself (including in front of the kids), my new wife and my mother. - she had let herself into our house multiple times when we were not home - she had taken the kids interstate without letting me know her plans - she had taken them to work with her in a massage parlour Her only issue was that I should drive 2 hours every 2nd weekend to deliver the kids to her. My stance was that I often did take them when it was convenient but did not think the time and expense should fall on me when she was not offering any financial support to raise our kids. The mediators got a half arsed promise from her to stop doing all that stuff and then we're entirely focused on bullying me into agreeing to her request. They didn't care that she was working cash on hand to avoid child support or that she had chosen to move 2 hours away with her new boyfriend. I felt that they were extremely biased in favour of the mother.

The sisterhood is alive and well at the Family Relationship Centre in Melbourne! In my recent experience, the ladies conducting the mediation were not interested in my female partner's refusal to comply to the arrangement agreed to at the first session but were happy to try to bully me into accepting my ex partners unreasonable proposal at the second mediation session. As these mediation sessions are mostly subsidised by the government it is hardly surprising that an equal opportunity outcome could be expected. My advice to anybody looking to utilize The Family Relationship Centre for mediation, I would look elsewhere. I would look at other mediation centres that charge for their services to achieve a fair and equitable outcome.

Maloney is as bias as they come request to record if you are unfortunate to receive her as a counsellor and provide it to your legal counsel. She has bluntly suggested to my ex not to attend as it would be pointless. While suggesting to myself that there are valid points to discuss
